Last time I saw flooding like this was the early 70's in plantation fl. This was October 31st. I believe as I was only around 12 years old. Be safe too all!!
These residents have not seen flooding like this, but it has happened in the past. A few oldies: 1926: Great Miami Hurricane with 150mph winds wiped out most of the area. In 1947 people had to line up for typhoid shots when massive flooding from a tropical storm passed by. I'll post a link that has pictures from a Fort Lauderdale newspaper in the reply. (My last post "disappeared". Perhaps it was the link I posted) Anyway, good luck and watch for snakes and such. ~From a 5th generation Floridian~ :-)
It was a hurricane. A place not built for heavy rain will flood. We got neighborhoods not built for rain and it floods easy. If you don’t got good enough drainage for a hurricane this will happen
