We have Luna moths here in NC. They like to stay around the lights at night. In the morning you find lots of just their wings on the ground under the lights. Turns out they are a favorite food for the bats. Sad, but really cool to find the wings.
I grew up in the woods on a mountain in southeast Tennessee and we would see them. We had a sliding glass door with a screen and they loved to come hang out on them. We also saw some big brownish colored moths.
How long do you allow your paintings to dry before you varnish them? Also, I am wondering if it is totally necessary to varnish/ resin, will they stay nice without the extra step? LOVE the colors you choose for all your paintings, so vibrant and pleasant.
Acrylics don’t need to be sealed unless they are being displayed in high humidity areas. If and when I do, I wait until painting is completely dry. Usually a few hrs to a day 😊 thank you very much Rebecca
We had Luna moths in Missouri. If you wanted to catch one, you'd put out a white sheet near an outside light and in the early morning you'd find them on the sheet 😉.
Yes, my daughter and I saw one hanging on a brick wall at a store. We live in Virginia. It was the size of my palm and green. We learned that the religious significance meant “going towards to the light” the light being Christ.
We get them every year! What a beautiful creature!!

Ask for someone to mail you one that they collected after it died. You don't know how pretty they are until you can hold them in your hand and see it.
I found one in at work Peru Vermont 1:14
Cool!
What are the name of your brushes
Which ones in particular? Thanks
