I know right??? The only thing I found same as AOT is the fact that there are people closed in a small place and enemies on the outside Besides that, I think it's sooooooo much different The setting, the story, the plot, the characters, the content, the topics... AOT and Deca-Dence are really two separate things imo
more enjoyable than aot, the whole series is like with movie budget but with 4 hours. i'd rather rewatch deca dence than aot, aot is just too much suffering
Love Both, but AOT on another level, the subplots and subtexts are just, SUB characters ie levi, hanje, etc... are just more relatable. Loved this anime, but even, Jobless incarnation was far superior as well. This was more on LAST EXILE LEVEL, that too for it's time ahead alot of anime with its art style. Wish they would give Suikoden a real anime, too much story and lore there for it to be locked up.

40:15 This anime needs more love, share/recommend it to anyone or everyone. Praying, that the people who made castlevania on Netflix, give Berserk a chance.
I suspect most ppl came for: 15:05 - Tankers' dwelling 1:31:11 - DECA-DENCE's Spear 1:33:36 - Last checkmate The rest is, though actually really good with the heavy use of orchestra, kinda generic-sounding for someone who has heard a ton of anime osts already.
Disagreed. Although maybe half of the ost are, as you said, great but kinda generic, at least half are incredibly original. Unusual instruments and compositions make this ost truely unique. I would even argue that the "Nier-esque choirs" in the osts are not really a factor of wether the tracks is generic or not, because after Nier they became a used a lot more often (not to the point of becoming "main stream" but not enough to call a piece original by their only presence I'd say). It's more the bagpipes that make the entire ost really original to me. As well as the unusual quick ascending chromatic motives that are usually present in romantic pieces (in classical music) but not so much in neo-classisism. ANYWAY my point it : don't sleep on the rest of the ost, it's great. I myself made a playlist where I put all the best and most original tracks of the soundtrack, and I put 24 ost in it, so about half.

This anime is so unique. Everyone labelled it as AOT copy, but boy....!!!
It was such a pleasant surprise
