The saddest part isn’t when he died , but when he slowly realize the hope he once held never existed . He was still smiling till the end , apologizing to his “companion”, making a promise with him that was impossible to keep . Rest In Peace , our dear nameless boy . At least , you’re reunited with your loved ones .

The strive to live, to exist. TO SEE THE WORLD, each life, a vibrant, strongly lit candle that tragically goes out. Standing through it all but one witness. Fushi. The one to keep the memories of all those lost lives. I can't describe how incredibly emotional this anime makes me. What a fascinatingly, tragic work of art. I can't wait for season 2 this fall.

It reminded me of "The Alchemist," by its journey and learning from others, but far more sorrowful and distinct. It made me realise that there are people who don't just view the world as getting to the top, or something far more ambitious, but also dwell on the meaning of their life, and that of others. read the chapter of the nameless boy when the manga was still new. i was legitimately so upset i stopped reading it entirely haha but i'm so glad i got the courage to watch the anime when it came out. watching it all with a person you treasure is something else, too.
to summerise "To your Eternity" it is a Masterpiece of an Artwork everything from the sounds ( that you can hear here) to the visuals , to the story lines, to the overlying theme, to the transitions, and the overall direction and completion are done just so that it enhances the story. S2 may feel different in comparison, but I am glad that they took that different route to it, adds to the spiciness of the story and does not lessen its beauty one bit.

It's best to practice behaviors and thoughts like this so you don't have to learn the hard way through the sudden loss of a loved one and be left without closure.

Every time when Fushi fight with the knockers I always hoped he wouldn't lost the memory of the nameless boy, or at least nothing will happen to that boy. It's such a miracle though now looking back, that the first human he met was the one who stayed through everything and will continue living on till the end of time 😭

Live without music is something I can hardly imagine. It would be lonely, and barren. Because you always know, music connects people. When you are listening to music, you are never alone. The biggest test in every human life is losing someone, and having to continue. Takes a while, but those wounds can make us stronger, the same way Fushi gets new skills and learnings when he loses friends, despite the infinite sadness and dread of keep losing beloved ones. Fushi's journey represents for me the same quest every human has in their lives.
