Welcome to this unique video where I spread banana mush on my hair and fix it up and teach you all about it!
1st step: 1 Ripe Banana + 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Blend until frothy, applied all over and left on for 10-20 minutes
2nd step: My Function of Beauty Custom products
I always double shampoo because thats they only way to ensure total cleaning (also helps remove the olive oil)
I then leave my conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing
3rd step: Leave In products
I alwyas aim for a two-step leave in: a lighter product and a heavier product
I always start with the Schwarzkopf Peptide Repair Leave in Spray sprizz sprizz
Then going with the heavy stuff: Olaplex no.6 or as in today's video: Function of Beauty Leave in Conditioner
Then I let airdry!
I finish off any style with a frizz calming, shine intensifying serum or oil!
Olaplex no.7, Coco&Eve Magic Elixir or Marocccon Oil will do the trick!

I remember how i bleached my black hair to yellow-white, walked for 3 days and then dyed it to black again... Was it worth it? YES
Omg, I did the same thing my hair came out yellow- Orange it looked horrible lol.

I’m new to Stella but I’ve binged quite a few videos. I love how much she feels herself in the end. I really don’t mean that sarcastically either. Almost every video, even a few I saw where the color didn’t come out quite right, she’s in love with it and feeling herself. We should all feel that good about ourselves each and every day! 🌸🌷🌹
Coconut oil, cocoa powder, rice water, yogurt, olive oil and many others really do do amazing things to your hair! My sister does a rice water treatment at least twice a week and her hair is past her hips! No joke!

Yogurt has a great deal of vitamins that hair needs. Mix it with honey and banana. It makes the perfect hair mask!
Coconut oil doesn't really do much because it molecules are too big for your hair to actually absorb it
It's great for a deep conditioning hair mask.
I recommend straining the mask through cheese cloth or a nut milk bag, itll take out all the tiny particles left that the blender didn't get which makes it easier to rinse out w/o residue! :)
Apart from her hair styling tips her makeup skill is also pretty good.

i loved it at first but i started losing so much hair in the shower and my scalp got oily so fast, it’s now been over a year since i stopped using it and my hair still isn’t as thick as it used to be :(
update!: been ten months since i posted my original comment and my hair is still visibly thinner than it was before i touched function of beauty. i’m pretty sure it wasn’t due to any vitamin deficiencies because my hair was thick before using their products. many other women are having this problem and it seems like they haven’t addressed it at all… i did get my money back but if i’m honest i want my hair thickness back, not my money 😢
this is why i refuse to support them cause i have NOT seen them address this issue that i have seen so many women have! and i don’t think they’ve released all their ingredients in their formulas which is so sketchy

I use function of beauty religiously and the past few months my hair has been falling out in handfuls when I shower. I still have a super full head if thick hair but the amount that falls out is terrifying. I didn't know their products was doing this to people 😭😭

Ive heard a lot of bad/mixed reviews from POC/people with hair texture, so scared to try them out cause of that. Seeing as most positive reviews have all only come from people who are getting sponsored..... I dunno, man... My hair has already been damaged from straightening, bleaching, dyeing etc so I'm very careful with what I use.
@@raet6375 It helped bring my hair texture back and helped my hair growth so much after frying it off but after 2 years I did start to notice the hair loss a few months ago. And not just every day sheds. It reminds me alot of postpartum hair loss. With every shower. How I'm not bald yet, is beyond me 🥴

My hair type is 3c curly. I occasionally do the mahogany dye, because I love the dark red on me. Having a lot of hair and often dry, one of the best remedies for me is olive oil. I keep it for many hours or all night and then I wash it. I do it once a week and my hair comes back to life. I also take biotin treatment for at least 4 months a year. 😊
Throw a bit of coffee grounds into the banana oil mixture, and you get a pretty good body scrub 😊

Banana baby food is easiest. I mean smashing a very ripe banana isn’t hard but the bits can stay in your hair if you don’t strain it. Trust me. 😭
The body shop has a banana hair mask and it smells and works amazing.

I’ve been bleaching my hair platinum for a year and a half and I absolutely love it. My hairdresser does a great job, it’s very minimally damaged. I thought I’d want to get back to my natural hair pretty quickly, but now I feel like I really found myself with this hair. If I keep going to the same hairdresser and taking care of my hair, can I manage to keep bleaching it for a few more years without it falling off?
I think so, because normally only the roots get bleached?
I mean.. your roots grow back, which is what you would bleach, since it's virgin hair it shouldnt get more damaged than usual, your ends would stay untouched if they already have the desured color
Hey there! I had 3 ft of platinum blonde healthy and thick hair for 3-4 years (down to my butt). They would always bleach my roots and then tone the whole hair. But with the years I noticed my hair became thinner and then the last time another girl at the salon did my hair and burnt it off. I had to cut it and now I dye it my natural dark blonde/light brown color.
Oh and I would always do it with Olaplex! Just go to a hair dresser you really trust :)

Maybe if it were past your shoulders, it would actually show damage. But being that you keep it super short, kinda hard to damage it honestly. Especially with the products you're using.

I used to have that when I was washing too frequently (every other day). My hair looks very dry and poofs up right after washing, it gets back the good shine on like day 2-3, and last good until day 5. My mom also has naturally dry hair (she washes only once a week but it never gets shiny, not even on the wash day) so genetics can also be a factor?
@@SugiyamaHiromin yeah my hair seems to get drier the longer I go without washing and thus conditioning. But if I go overboard on the conditioner to get it to last it gets weighed down.

Also, yeah, no shit do a test, but I did, and it was fine. So, I kept using it. Then, after maybe a week, my skin was (is still is a bit) insainly irritated.

@@carlyncollier2223 I know. That was the joke. People keep saying my hair is falling out because I dye it, they don't believe it's my health issues. So I get the frustration. Bleach can make it break off, but not fall out. Semi permanent dye is just fine.

coconut oil, arganoil, honey and an egg yolk, mixed together put it on your hair for like 1hour or longer, wash it out with shampoo and use conditioner after =) done
Use coconutoil after shower on your wet hair =)
Absolutely not. Coconut oil is only good for very thick and coarse hair types. It’s not for everyone
