My mom's been going grey from when she was 18, always covered it up with black or brown dye (yes, even box dyes). She still has coarse-ish straight thick hair. My hair is a mix of my parents' hair, volume from mom and fine structure from dad, and it can also withstand A LOT, but since I don't need bleach to dye it darker copper, that "how do you even have hair" question is even more annoying.

I’ve been dyeing my hair for 2 and a half years now and i do it with box dye cuz I can’t afford going to the salon every 4 weeks. Its dried my hair quite a bit but i use hairmasks now every day and i have been using argan oil repairing hairspray for years and it helps alot. I now use a keratin repairing hairspray

I'm a pretty tall person and my hair currently reaches way over my breasts. It's dry and pretty damaged and getting it dyed professionally costs me around 500 euros per dye job so I'm going to cut it into a bob. Stella is one of those beautiful people who makes me feel less bad about having to cut it off because short hair looks GORGEOUS on her and so many others. Hope it suits me too.
I don't bleach my hair I don't wash it every day I don't use heat on it and your hair look more healthy then mien so that why tomorrow I'm gonna dye it cut it use heat to style it and live my extra life 😂

Semi permanent dye can damage the hair, but depositing dyes that are mistakenly referred to as semi permanent yet contain no developer don't. All of the bleaching necessary to maintain a base for depositing dyes can make your hair fall out, but only if you leave it on too long. I think some people say "fall out" but they mean "snap off" though, often because over processed hair tends to snap off close to the root.
yeah, i saw friends' hair so brittle and fried after just one round of bleaching that it all snapped off from the root, leaving them looking bald. i know bleaching isn't evil, but like maybe 1 in 100 people really know how to use it. or 1 in 1000.

Your hair type and colour can suggest which strength developer is best to use but I've seen people with fine blonde hair take multiple rounds of 30 vol with no more damage than you'd expect and people with thick dark hair suffer massive damage from a bleach bath. Add in any previous treatments to the hair that the client may not be honest about as then you'd have to tell them no, certain medications, hormone and vitamin imbalances they may not even know about, even if they usually wear their hair up in a tight ponytail... you can make a relatively informed guess how someone's hair will react, but even with all the experience in the world, sometimes you'll be wrong.
it sounds like you're thinking of demi permanent dye cause that's the one that contains low volume developer. Semi permanent is just conditioner with pigment, as the video mentioned
True. Been dying since 16. Im in my 50s now. There are less damaging alternatives for dye now. The only bad fall out (allergic reaction)I ve experienced was Loreal excellence and some cheap keratin shampoo from suave many years ago.

I have to believe all of these coments about your hair falling out or frying off are coming from people who are not professional hair stylists who probably bleach their hair at home using a 40vol developer and then they put box dye over it. Your hair is absolutely healthy, you're drop dead gorgeous and your hair looks better and healthier than mine dyed with henna and cared for dearly lol. To be completely honest though, I have been using the Aussie brand miracle moisture shampoo and it's doing miracles for me in terms of hair smootheness and everything. I've tried every kind of affordable drugstore shampoo and conditioner combo and this is the only one that made my hair actually feel noticeably better. Much love

I bleach my hair basically every 4 to 5 weeks. Yes I have shortish hair but still it is healthy and soft and shines and no loss of hair. Love your videos. I am constantly putting in pink or blue etc and I love your creativity. Its awesome thank you

I have to believe all of these coments about your hair falling out or frying off are coming from people who are not professional hair stylists who probably bleach their hair at home using a 40vol developer and then they put box dye over it. Your hair is absolutely healthy, you're drop dead gorgeous and your hair looks better and healthier than mine dyed with henna and cared for dearly lol. To be completely honest though, I have been using the Aussie brand miracle moisture shampoo and it's doing miracles for me in terms of hair smootheness and everything. I've tried every kind of affordable drugstore shampoo and conditioner combo and this is the only one that made my hair actually feel noticeably better. Much love

Absolutely gorgeous! Your routine is similar to mine. Olaplex has been my go-to despite me trying new things. I'm a product junkie also. My hair has been bleached for years so I pamper it. Air drying, not brushing while wet and I even sleep in a satin pillow. 😉👍

I have really curly hair and I dye my hair every month or even less than that. My hair is so healthy I get so mad when ppl say “your hair is gonna fall out” bc I take so much care of it. People are just stupid and they don’t know what they are talking about.
