The world would fall apart if all contracts signed after a couple of drinks were ruled invalid. The actual standard is generally whether the intoxication interferes with your ability to make a reasonable judgment about consent. Your words and actions prior to becoming intoxicated also matter, e.g., if you told somebody "I'm going to **** your brains out" before becoming intoxicated, we can surmise later having sex with them was consensual even if quite severely intoxicated.

They switch out the most important lines, or the lines they want to highlight into English, so that it will resonate better with their western audience. I mean you see it everywhere, in K-pop, most of the song is in Korean, but the title is English and the chorus or specific lines are in English. Ex: let’s kill this love, More, I can’t stop me. Like most of the ones I can think of tbh. It’s very practical, although this entire segment provides good context, all you really needed to hear is “no means no”.

I had such an experience once. There was a woman, a friend of mine, who had a crush on me. She is attractive but I knew that a relationship with her would give me only trouble, so I preferred to stay only friends with her. People don't realise how common this is in India. I spent 8 months in Mumbai and even just walking around with my best friend Aman, others thought they were allowed to touch me... They switch out the most important lines, or the lines they want to highlight into English, so that it will resonate better with their western audience. I mean you see it everywhere, in K-pop, most of the song is in Korean, but the title is English and the chorus or specific lines are in English. Ex: let’s kill this love, More, I can’t stop me. Like most of the ones I can think of tbh. It’s very practical, although this entire segment provides good context, all you really needed to hear is “no means no”.

I don't know about other countries but in India it's actually a natural way of speaking. A lot of people also use English along with their local language for general communication and most of the time we mix in both to converse. So it's not just for the script.

People don't realise how common this is in India. I spent 8 months in Mumbai and even just walking around with my best friend Aman, others thought they were allowed to touch me... Just walking down the street. I love India as a whole, my friend and his family and friends were amazingly beautiful people, but as a woman, I struggled just walking down the street sometimes.
