    Thank god your back. I was losing my mind without this show. It’s the only window into this side of the Nashville world that we have.

    John, when you look at that wall of affirmation in the mornings, Be affirmed that you are great at what you do. You have real talent. You make people laugh. You have lots of fans. And now go do your best and make the world a better place.

    Pastors kid here. (I feel like I have cred in that😆)
    I wish you had a friend during your crisis times to just give you a hug say "ok let's figure this out, you're not good none of us are but you're not ruined. Let's try to do what the Bible says not what people interpret it to say." I love that you care enough to have guilt but know God sees your worth even in our errors. Carrying guilt is pointless. Talk to God and let it go with the intent of doing better. You've probably heard all this before. But I totally understand what you've communicated.

    I don’t know about that therapy. “Just acknowledge it then go to lunch.” You don’t have to actually make different choices? Easy peasy. Lol

    • @oscardelarenta9647
      @oscardelarenta9647 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this practice makes a lot of sense.
      They are actually making "different choices" for the better just by angolishing and admitting that there is something in their behaviour that other people notice. It starts with small things like realizing you're wearing scrubs just for the clout, and ends with finally admitting and agnolishing addiction. Only then can you clean yourself up.

      Even as someone in seminary, it makes sense to me. Half the battle of counseling is getting people to be less "fragmented" to being more "whole". It's really only once we get past the false narrative about ourselves that we're ready for God to meet us as we really are. God doesn't want you to be fake when you come to him.

    Love that take on Christianity. One "bad" thing doesn't mean you're going to hell. There would be more Christians out there if we didn't shame the people who drink, have sex, etc.

      But persistent sin must be called out. St. Paul and Christ are explicit on those points.

      @@dave1370yes for people who already know and claim to follow Jesus. Absolutely. But for unbelievers, that’s not the way to draw them to Jesus by telling them how terrible they are or their choices.

    “He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
    God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve hell but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved. The Key To Eternal Life:

    So John’s saying that no person ever does something according to bad intentions? That they always think they’re doing right? That’s an optimistic take but I don’t fully buy it.
