I have only good things to say! First, the bassist's musicality is excellent. The articulation and intonation in high, middle and low registers are clean, clear and pleasing to the ear. Secondly, while the bassist does due justice to the technical outer movements, both the performers and the music really shine in the middle movement. So typically Bach to put a little extra emotion in the slow movement. Lovely! In a sonata like this one the piano and instrumental parts are treated somewhat equally by Bach, but the extra virtuosity required of the instrumentalist to maintain a musical balance with the accompanying keyboard is the open secret. To make one's sound to be free flowing and unstrained is the heavy task for the bassist here. Especially since the piece is actually written for the lighter and more nimble Viola da Gamba. Authoritatively accomplished, I think. I very much enjoyed this performance. A salute to both artists.
