I think at first the tesla would win, but then more and more people would sit in the tesla(more weight). My question is, how much weight is needed to beat the Tesla? I am not really good at 1/4 mile datas, obviously if the race would be more exciting, the m3 can be changed to something else.
Thanks for the video! Considering that even on a sunny warm day you cannot use the BMW's power, I definitely go for the Audi! In the real world in Europe temperatures drop below 30°C and once in a while it's raining. And I am just a mediocre driver - not a drift king ;-)

Mind you the M3 had launch control enabled so it's surprising that it spun up so much. Would have thought that the launch control would have ironed that out.
Have you ever heard of awd=all wheel drive which means that all tires spin the bmw tho usually makes rwds that drift better and they are not made for drag races

Hot clutch 2 seats (Recaro) 5 seats/basics GTS track street family car Even with these differences, a Bmw prepared for track, less weight, less 3 seats, DSG, etc.... They only can beat a Family avant car in..... 1 sec?? That's not too good for a GT with an Extra preparation for track days.... If you only can escape 20 meters far from the avant.... Think about it.

Chris Harris did a video on it. Merc is a lot quicker in a straight and is only like 2 tenths slower round the track he was on. Funnily enough though the Black Series is 3 seconds quicker round the ring than the GTS. Black Serires is better though of course :)

I'm so glad they got altered their rolling race set ups. A few videos ago they left it in comfort and waited for it to " shift down", which was totally pointless. Locking it 3rd @50mph is definitely the way to go! Props for reading the comments and improving your content
Yeah, a awd car vs a rear wheel drive car off the line... Bmw just builds better cars and 100% better engines. Audi's 4.2 is nothing nothing compared to Bmw's S65. Even V8 R8's have a hard time with E92 M3's from a 60 roll. Look it up.
Have had both. Currently have a MTM supercharger on my rs4 b7. Makes about 545 at the crank now with the Gruppo intake and full exhaust. Amazing to drive. Had BMW my whole life inc ess 625 hp e92 m3 . I changed because I got tired of living in fear with the bm , very highly strung but yes the best track car for sure..
surly RS4. good for every day, every road, every road surfaces and conditions, in a short city race when traffic light turns green. 1st and 2ed gear the RS4 will always win. Quattro Unlike BMW which is only good for a dry day or perhaps on a track.

I have both. Well standard e92 m3 and an rs4 b7 avant exactly like this one and what he said in the end pretty much summed it all. When it's cold and shitty out there you take the rs4 and you can drive real fast while still being completely safe. When it's nice out and you just want to go for a drive and have fun, you take the M3.
It’s more fun to challenge cars outside their segment. This is a awesome fun review. I like the bmw for its resale value and performance, and the Audi for its everyday use. Keep bringing it carwow!

Last time you did rs4 vs m3CSL instead of straight m3e46, this time you did the same with M3 GTS instead of straight m3e92... Rs4 B7 is direct opponent to old granny M3 E46. Rs4 B7 just destroys M3 E46. B7 is just facelift of 2000 year model, same as E46 had facelift of their 1998 year model. 1998-2005 vs 2000-2007, same generation with typicall 1-2 year difference. E92 is RS5 B8 opponent and again is being destroyed by RS5.
Both are fantastic cars in their own way but I’d have the Audi all day long. You just couldn’t use the M3’s potential on the public road safely, it needs to be on a track. Where the Audi is perfect for the public road. Probably why I own and drive an Audi A4 Quattro which I’ve had remapped, it’s rather impressive. 😁

Manual AWD are difficult to get a perfect launch, also a hard launch is punishing on the DT. These factors always influence the 0-60

Rs4 B7 is direct opponent to old granny M3 E46. Rs4 B7 just destroys M3 E46. B7 is just facelift of 2000 year model, same as E46 had facelift of their 1998 year model.
1998-2005 vs 2000-2007, same generation with typicall 1-2 year difference.
E92 is RS5 B8 opponent and again is being destroyed by RS5.
The E92 M3 GTs for sure is my favourite..It was my favourite M-car and it still is

Both are fantastic cars in their own way but I’d have the Audi all day long. You just couldn’t use the M3’s potential on the public road safely, it needs to be on a track. Where the Audi is perfect for the public road. Probably why I own and drive an Audi A4 Quattro which I’ve had remapped, it’s rather impressive. 😁
