- Ya the mixed bosses=mr dark lol.
.Virtual Jaguar messed up the music
There are couple of diffrences between this version and all subsequent versions:
The music.
The rope sprite.
The colorful texts in the beginning and the end of the level.
The ingame screen resolution is smaller then the ps1/saturn version but bigger then the pc/gba version.
There are diffrent animations for Mr Dark and his forms.
The 2nd form of Mr Dark from all subsequent versions dont appear.
Rayman doesnt shrink in the last battle so the third form can jump higher.
When Rayman gets his fist power he doesnt perform his "level win" animation.
The flames move slower and Rayman cant get hit from it twice in a row.
Rayman dont have his "scary" animation.
Rayman do his "level win" animation in the end with electoon icons rising and popping.
Some of the changes extend beyond this.
Gotta love the way the music shits itself whenever he changes form.
Wow, the music is so different. I assume the weird glitches in the sound are emulation-related, but besides that, I would definitely call the music interesting.
It was the original music.
By God, I had never shit so much laughter in my life because of the distortion of a music, this one takes all the palms xd
To be fair that’s really only because of it being played on emulator. It sounds fine on a normal jag.
You actually FIGHT Mr.Dark in the GBC version just to let all of you know
The GBC version is its own game its not a port in anyway
@@leonardlyletrillana9789 what about Redemption?
@@DamnZtar upgraded version
@@DamnZtar redemption isnt official tho

Nice to see how Rayman began.
0:00 - 0:05 The art of trolling
that music and those sound effects. it's like it's taking the piss out of Rayman
00:01 to 00:08 starts out fine with some audio glitches. 00:08 to 1:19 has more glitchy audio. 1:19 to 2:47 ok that's too glitchy.
That song is awesome, it just really is.
Nintega ikr
Mr. Stone The Scorpion:OW MY EYE D: *Runs away*
I dont know why but for some reason I really like this grainy version of mr darks theme.
This songs defines what's the real shit.
Damn, that sound chip is sure struggling.
It's because of poor emulation.
those crispy ass audio zamn
Mr dark has more frames of animations here
Also this more epic than original ps port
PS1 And saturn versions are the same, the only difference is that the saturn version has updated sounds and effects.
PS1 has better FPS
Psx has more music.
@@RobertK1993 They run the same.
@@GamerGee They all have the same amount of songs. Some tracks are extended in the Saturn version and the audio quality is better on the Saturn version.
Wyatt Marchek the psx has drums on the rain levels and on stage one part two the drums aren’t on Saturn. I’ve played both when they came out. The level complete on the Saturn is the cd track where as PlayStation uses the built in sound engine which is cool. Still sounds good.
I can see why people don't like the music. But honestly, I like it better than the PS1 version. It sounds like a song you would normally hear in an old-school Mario & Luigi game. :D
The soundtrack of Superstar Saga is way better than this.
Arteyyy PS1 is the best version follower by Saturn and PC.
What version of Virtual Jaguar is this?
An old one. :P
technology4617
There are many old versions. I was wondering which one.
OldClassicGamer Doesn't it really matter, since we now have Virtual Jaguar GIT?
technology4617
It matters really much since Virtual Jaguar GIT runs like a SHIT on my PC. I get about 40FPS and sound is worse than ever.
You should probably just focus on fixing that issue, rather than moving on to a different emulator; all of the "pre-GIT" versions have these audio issues.
You know, I actually prefer this version of the Mr. Dark theme. It's more upbeat, and I'm just a sucker for 16-bit sounds.
Looks like Rayman could be on SEGA Genesis! Heh heh. Get it?
No i do not
I didn't knew Jaguar had FM soundchip, now I can imagine better what would sounds like a Rayman soundtrack done for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive!
It was originally going to be on 32X but due to being introduced in the market when The Saturn was here, it was too late to release it in the market, so Rayman on the 32X was cancelled along with its system.
Still an underwhelming boss oh, but I do like the personality that it exudes compared to the other versions. They got rid of one of the forms, but that was my least favorite form visually. I love how the Rock scorpion form is like "oh, I just remembered that I scheduled an appointment to get my eyelashes trimmed. Toodleloo." Even the hopping mosquito when you beat him doesn't just bounce off the screen. He's like "oh, look at the time. I must be off."
Some people might be disappointed by the fact that he pretty much gets away in this version, but I think that that is part of the charm as well.
he gets away in all versions anyway
I always though the two bosses were Mr Dark actually. He transforms into them imo.
@@black_caty Does he? It's only shown in this version. Honestly, I like this because the idea of this dark, mysterious villain being defeated with such an incompetent whimper is disappointing.
Sounds much better with the Plok boss theme.
which version do you think is better? jaguar, ps1, or saturn version?
Saturn
sounds like the snes version
Taliesin Charles-Lewis The SNES version had no sound.
0:45 i'm burning!!
And the sound is a complete joke. Seriously, WTF?
In Atari!?
Dear god, what is that noise? It sounds so terrible! Is that what you guys had to put up with back then?
***** The Music usually sounds a bit better but Virtual Jaguar back then had A LOT of sound issues with this game
Le Docteur Guhhhh,... You're telling me...
Le Docteur PS1 and saturn are superior to this crap.
Old is gold.
can you please tell me from where did you download the emulator because i download TP one and it dont have sound and at the third level of rayman stops :/
OWW, i Jaguar is more easier than ps1. There are no mosquito mamas
0:13 did morshu sung that?
How did you get VirtualJaguar to run so smoothly?? On my computer, it's so choppy, it's barely playable. I have Windows 7.
MR UwU im here
True, but when you have a game that does not look or sound like the original, why bother?
Yeah, because the Jaguar is such a great console, and we have to waste our money on that piece of crap...
stoney0503 Ubi Soft were right to switch to PS1 during development.
Ps1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jaguar version
PS1 --- A port with ridiculous sound effects
Jaguar --- How it's supposed to be
Ps1 had better sound while you could tell that in the video, the music got gargled between moments where he would hit the boss or when another sound effect would play. Makes me think that the folks in the comments are trolling saying the other way around.
@@JesusJavier-MyAccount PS1 - Iconic music, excellent sound effects, improved graphics
Jaguar - Essentially a prototype for what the game could be.
I actually prefer the Jaguar version since it is more fair overall and has a better colour palette than the PS1 version.
Also, the breakout minigame was a ton of fun.
The Genesis Nostalgia Boner is back...., by the way, it does sound like a Genesis game! :P
You only had to fight two of them in this version?
I'm the only 2020
this looks nice but sounds like farts )':
haha
My 42" LED TV uses about 55 watts. :-)
How about. Best Electronics, My Atari, Ebay, Amazon.com and numerous more. :-)
OK. Use Project Tempest then. ;-)
What? The Atari Juguar Version have better graphics than the PC version!
Back then when consoles where actually good..............
MR dark is teensie :D
My Gosh..... Sound!!!!!!! This is why Jaguar Sucks
.
The jaguar was not a bad console
Just did not have the support I needed and want to destroy the competition I spent what happened to him
And why the game music stinks
Is because of the limitations of the game being in a cartridge
In the version of psone the game has music type orchestra
In the atari had to change to one more caricature because of limitations
I can kinda agree but i do agree with him
PS1 has ridiculous sounds.
The Jaguar version of Rayman is what it was supposed to be like.
Bad emulation
This is hangover music. 🤢
Help save the environment. Instead of using a 300 watt PC to emulate the Jaguar, buy a real Jaguar that only uses 11 watts of power and has great sound.
haha.. this game is awesome
Even though the Jaguar made it look stupid -.-
PS1/Saturn version FTW!
Jaguar version is the original version, every other version is a port.
Cheap midi music
Unfortunately, that’s the Atari Jaguar’s sound processor for ya. The Jaguar’s sound processor & soundchip are so awfully designed that it can’t really accomplish what the Nintendo 64, SEGA Saturn & Sony PlayStation were capable of.
