We were in the thick of World War I in 1915, so all had a lot of war material. All very interesting! You can iron newspapers, no steam, low temp, or use a pressing cloth. British aristocracy had their staff iron the newspaper every morning back in the day! Good haul!! 🩵🩵🩵🩵
I'm so glad you saved the WWI newspapers and the beautiful quilt! I know there's a way to roughly date a handmade quilt by looking at the fabric used (date by the newest fabric in the quilt bc they may have used old scraps, so if there's 30s, 40s, and 50s era fabrics you can say it's from the 50s etc. and also by the way it's constructed - like machine versus hand sewing). Thanks for sharing your hauls, I really enjoy them
ME TOO! Thank you so much for watching! I was slightly worried people would just skip through the 1st part of the video to get to the clothing. Turns out most people enjoyed the ephemera as much as me! Also, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge about quilts, I will have to research the fabric a bit more, I typically just list quilts as vintage or antique, so adding a decade would be fantastic. 😊🫶♻️💖
I love being able to step back into time like that. with something tangible to touch. Give a real perspective on just how much the world has changed, in relatively so little time.
Fascinating newspapers. The "Lindy" case is another Mandela Effect. Some remember the baby never being found and others remember the baby being found and growing up. We live in a strange universe. 😄
Down a Mandala Effect hole this morning, just wanted to share these from google: Notable Examples of the Mandela Effect; Henry VIII Eating a Turkey Leg. Luke, I Am Your Father. Mirror, Mirror on the Wall. Oscar Meyer or Oscar Mayer? Location of New Zealand. Berenstein Bears. Shazaam, Starring Sinbad? Pikachu's Black-Tipped Tail.
What an interestingly good haul. I love looking thru old newspapers, and magazines, especially the old ads. So even if you have newspapers in bad shape you might be able to recover some things from them to frame, and sell. Or maybe sell lots of related material ie...car ads. I once had the pleasure of going thru some old newspapers from pre 1800 from England. I'm a bit morbid so found it fascinating reading the death notices, and what people were dying from back then.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT! I had not thought about the ads and other parts of the newspapers folks might be interested in aside from just the cover stories! Totally looking them over for interesting ads today! Still trying to decide how to list the newspapers. 1800's?! That is wild that a paper product survived so long. NEAT
So much to love here. The newspapers! I think you should keep them. I love the tray…..so much. I just bought a pair of those weird looking jeans on Amazon, love them. Also, the brown suede jacket and the leather jacket are fantastic finds. Yay for you!😊
😀🐕💜 My laptop is acting weird and sometimes won't let me leave a comment. 😠 Just so you know if I didn't leave one that's why. I enjoy all your videos and look forward to seeing your unique finds and what sold.
🐟 he is so cool, and a total must have for every home in 2025 😅! Will come back here and let you know when those jeans are up! Should be later this morning!!
I posted all the pictorials separately, hoping having them separated and at a lower price point will help them sell. If they don't get any attention like that I may lot them up. Thinking about doing the same with the newspapers. The only ephemera I've ever sold were old letters with postage stamps; 1912-1918. They went quickly! SO COOL! Thanks for watching!
I love Frauenshuh as well but I have not had great luck with it. I found a Frauenshuh jacket for $8 in Carbondale, CO and had a very hard time selling it. Even when I consigned it at Common Threads it didn’t sell.

SO interesting and WHAT! I had no idea you could steam newspapers - thanks for the tip / sharing your knowledge and the fun fact! 😁♻️✨
@ Yes absolutely! I used to iron my sewing patterns after I used them to keep them neat in the package to re-use.
Love your videos! Great finds! Great information! And positively enjoyable!
So cool Meg!! Those newspapers and mags!! ❤
So much fun…from the newspapers to the quilt to the major BOLO!❤❤🥳

The baby was found dead.

Hi!!! Your comment showed up! Thank you for trying so hard to leave a comment and for watching my video as per usual 🫶😊🙌😁🐶✨
Oooh, so curious about the size of the Nili Lotan jeans. I’ll be watching for them to show up in your shop! Also that fish platter is incredible. 😅
🐟 he is so cool, and a total must have for every home in 2025 😅! Will come back here and let you know when those jeans are up! Should be later this morning!!
Oh, and I’d love to know when you post that cream Everlane cardigan!
you got it! will post it with the jeans + come back here and tell you as soon as I have!✨
Do you think you will sell the newspapers all together or separately? I would say they are worth money. Really cool find!

The pattern of the quilt is called Seven Sisters. Great finds.

Would love either the suede brown jacket or the Versace but I doubt I could afford the Versace lol 😂

@ oh yeah at least ask them where they should go see what they say those are sooo cool
