      I am enjoying the press and enjoy your channel .
      Well 2023 summer is past and no bullet feeder, do you have any information on this. I'm kind of annoyed because it was priced so correctly. I only load 9mm on this press and I do go through hundreds of round per week. I have emailed FA and no response. I can get around it but its wrong not to give accurate information on products that are featured on a item that you buy or are intending to purchase .
      I just finished a 30 + hour print on my 3D printer and I own a PM lathe and Mill + . But what a bout the other guys. Are they really going to go to double alpha and spend $550 bucks on a $175 feeder item? Frankfort needs to pull up there pants , there rear end is sticking out. Cant rely on them in this area. Shame because the press is no doubt a good value and works just fine. Tune it find your rhythm and there are no problems.
      Use some of that ultimate reloader juice and make an inquiry for us guys that follow your channel please. It would be great to know what's going on with FA.
      Lastly we all know Trump Won

      I’d pay it if the thing will seat primers to proper depth and doesn’t experience a stoppage 20% of the time like Hornady LnL does.
      I’ve yet to see a case feeder that was reliable and that itself didn’t cost as much as another press.

      It will never happen. Dillon is the undisputed king of progressives in the U.S. and they have the market share and reputation for customer service to match. I think Mr. Potterfield should try to get some reloading components to actually sell....first.

    • @joshuabaker5712

    • @aakoksal
      @aakoksal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @matthewpeterson3329
      @matthewpeterson3329 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TacticalJackalope Dillon might be the most renowned, but I don't agree that they are the undisputed king. I don't want to ruffle any fanboy feathers, that's not my intent, but I have owned and used every readily available progressive on the market, and every one of them has issues... usually at the priming stage. Dillon is no exception, though admittedly their priming stage is slightly less problematic than others, but it's not really better than the priming system on my Hornady or RCBS progressives. My Dillon very well built, just not the be all, end all. Especially for the price, which I will get back to.
      I honestly believe that (after loading well over half million cartridges using all major brands of progressive), if you take the priming stage out of the equation (hand prime), all brands are basically equal on speed and precision. For longevity, the Dillon, Hornady and RCBS are equals, with the LEE Loadmaster wearing out at around 50k rounds.
      Dillon DOES have superb customer service, with LEE being the next best. I am always impressed with LEE for innovation and customer service... too bad their stuff is all plastic. But it helps folks on a budget get into reloading.
      So... price. I tend to buy all the accoutrements for my presses. I could buy a new Tesla for what I have tied up in reloading equipment. But it happened over time (about 25 years) so it didn't sting like dropping $2500 on a new system, which is about what I have in my Dillon XL650, which I bought over 10 years ago and it cost more than the XL750 now. If I had to try something new that cost about as much, I like the looks of the Mark 7. For $3k, it looks like a very well built machine.

    Wow , That is an incredible press and value for $1200.00 ish. This will make a 10 station progressive, a easily attainable machine, for the average reloader. Nice job showing all the parts and how it works Gavin! This is the 1st Frankford Arsenal press I would buy. I wish they would fix the 3 major problems with their single stage press, but they don't seem to be able to get the Chinese manufacturer to do that, or they don't care. Regardless, I would wait a year to see what problems develop with this and see if they bother to fix them, I am sorry to say.

    You are so lucky Gavin getting to try & test out new equipment, but I see why the manufacturers come to introduce their new products on your channel first. This press looks robust but might be a little difficult to adjust until you get past the learning curve. I think it will do well depending on the street price it commands when it hits the market in 2022. I look forward to seeing one in person and getting my hands on it. To me the Dillon Precision machines look like they have a smoother crank stroke than the Frankford FX-10 does.

    It looks like the post for the bullet feeder is a visual obstruction to bullet feeding. I noticed that you had to look around the post when you were loading the bullet in 9mm. I own a Dillion RL1050 and the posts is not obstructing my view of the bullet loading station. The 10 stations is a great feature and I like the machine and am thinking of getting one once they come out and a few pioneers have run them for while. But, don’t think the ten stations are being efficiently used. With ten stations loading pistol I want to powder check, bullet drop, bullet seat, and crimp all in separate stations. Couldn’t tell from the video what was going on there, definitively.
    Why is the 1st station not also a de-prime and size as well as a case feed?

    So as someone who ones and uses a Dillon RL1100 I have a few observations. Tool head flex and it looks like they took a cast piece, cut holes in it and welded inserts in for the die threading? Shell plate wiggles a lot. Loading 9 major will not be smooth with it at all. Why no video of the case feeder working? We have all seen the disaster that Hornaday had with theirs. Lack of ability to just pull a case at the priming station with out taking something off.
    A couple things I do like is the primer feed setup where you can just pull it all off without removing any primers. 10 stations is always nice.
    But for me I think it's a no.

I've tried to get replacement cutting heads for two of their newer style trimmers. I was actually told by one of their phone Personnel to purchase an RCBS cutting head and that it will fit. On the other trimmer I couldn't get anything to replace the cutting head on it. I feel this is a good value for the money my concern is availability once it comes out Frankford needs to maintain this machine and dies in stock if not it’s a three year waste of time. Too many options out there to wait for a company back flow which is my biggest issue with Dillon been waiting for two sets of dies for 8 months ridiculous.

    I noticed that on the handle upstroke the press looked a little sticky. Is it the same old Dillon problem when the case sticks in the powder throw on the way out? If this press works at the price it will be a big hit

    I’m sure I haven’t loaded as much as some, but I really haven’t encountered most of the problems mentioned in this video. I feel this press is solving a problem that doesn’t exist

    Sad to see it slip into 2022, but that gives me a few more months to save up…and convince the Mrs that I really DO need a 4th press. Looks like I’ll need to mod my reloading bench to allow for a puka for spent primers.

    Are the die stations a quick change so you can have them set for caliber changes or do you have to reset everything every time you change calibers? Also will it do .270 win and .338 win mag?

    I remember seeing a case trimmer on a Dillon press. Does Frankford have a case trimmer that can go on this press and if so will it be a triway trimmer or just use an end mill. I’ve been looking at buying a progressive press and this finally looks like it has everything that I’ve been looking for and is affordable. Thanks

    Any more info or brief explanation of the proprietary Pistol "Bullet Shovel" would be nice :) I'm imagining something along the lines of.. No big bullet collator necessary, just grab a hand full of pistol bullets and throw them in a "shovel" style hopper? I also assume it comes with both small and large swage rods? I'm pretty darn excited for this! I saved up for a Mark7, but since you first broke the news of this I'm holding off for now :) Auto-Drive on a 10 Station would be rad!

    I really like this press. Even more after stating that there will be both pistol and rifle bullet feeders.
    One note I'd like to throw in is I would really like to see a primer pocket cleaner built in to the second station. If you've ever had a dirty pocket that caused a pass thru gass between primer and pocket wall enough to scorch and etch your bolt head you will understand why I'm saying this. It just doesn't happen very often ( 1 in a billion ) maybe, (1 in a million )but once is enough. I speak from experience. This is why I never de-prime /prime on press in one operation.

    They said beginning of 2022 now they are saying end of 2022. I don’t even think it will be at the end of this year. I got that vibe from talking to one of their guys at their booth at Shot Show last week. I hope I am wrong.

    Looks like a great machine, but why the clunky rotary powder measure with the Rube Goldberg linkage. These things were never meant to installed on progressive machine. I replaced all my rotary clunkers with Dillon measures (minus the lawyer linkage) a long time ago.

    I wonder how expensive the shell plates will be? Will all dies work with this? Looks rather complicated for set up. This really does interest me.

  • @JP1AO

    Can you use LNL bushings on it? It looks like it would be close to too thick to run them. The dies look set low already. How much are the shell-plates?

    I like it, I like the price, but it does seem like a bit of a contraption. If you run this, you should only probably run one caliber, i would think. The tear-down looks way more complicated than other machines.

  • @fwod1867
    @fwod1867 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would be interessting to see this in work. How smooth and reliable it works in a longer use. How expensive are the toolheads and the hopper etc.? The quality overall. Hope they use quality components for this press and can offer a good service and parts availability over at least 10 to 20 years, if parts break and need to be replaced. Othereise the press would be useless, unless you have a machineshop and make yor own spareparts. Press produced in????

    • @joshuabaker5712

      Not going to happen. Unless someone makes a dedicated pistol only press. The tool head or shell plate needs to have enough stoke to load common rifle rounds.

Will .308, 30-06 or 6,5x55 be possible? Looks like the hight is there. Will FA make conversion kits for these calibers I mentioned?

    Why does the head rock so much at the end of the down stroke. noticed it while hes doing the first few loads but its very apparent at 0:38 . at 0.25x speed slowmo. you can see the die toolhead tilting towards him. Doesn't seem very rigid even tho he put that dead die to balance it out. thats way more than a few thou

    If prices ever get back to normal I’m still thinking a $450 Hornady lnlap is the way to go. If they stripped this down to the basics and cut the price it would be a harder choice
