Looks so delicious, I used to make scrambled egg sandwiches as a snack when I was a teen, love scrambled eggs! I can’t wait to make this, my mouth is already watering…..
I reviewed numerous pepper and egg sandwich recipes to recreate what my mom used to make when I was a kid. Your recipe nailed it! Tasted like nostalgia in its finest form! aka took a bite... chewed... aaaagh, so gooood, this is it! :)) 👏👏👏👏🥰
@@godfatherbbqitalian you are most welcome. Most of the recipes I have seen so far on your channel are things I grew up with. It's very nice, I appreciate the cooking and nostalgia.

Eric in Chicago here. These are a staple during Lent. We can only get them after Ash Wednesday, and until Easter Sunday. They're a mark of the holiday, and many of us are disappointed when they're off the menus.
After my father passed, my mother was kind of left hanging. She had to work longer hours and more days to make ends meet. As such, we had this recipe for dinner fairly often. It wasn't always peppers. Sometimes it was asparagus, squash, etc. Later, after my mom learned to cope with the missing income, things got better. When I say better, I mean we ate what we had available to us. There was a period of time when I didn't know what was on the table. So many times I looked at dinner and had to ask what it was; breast of lamb, stuffed squid, rabbit...whatever she got her hands on, that's what we had for dinner. As difficult as it was without dad around, it taught me and my sister both what perseverance and strength really were, and how to appreciate the things we would acquire later in life...
10 minutes after 12 noon here. I’m going hunting in the fridge for a green pepper. I don’t know about the provolone cheese , might be a quick trip to the IGA. I’ll let you know how it turns out. If l’m half as happy as Tina looks l’ll be happy too. Robert Down under
Well l made it for dinner tonight. I think l failed, tasted ok but had to do some substitutions as the supermarket didn’t have provolone so l used jarlsberg slices and no Italian sweet peppers so l used green capsicum. Could have salt and peppered it a bit more. Used mozzarella cheese on top. Will do some forward planning next time and do a bit of shopping out of town in a bigger centre. Keep the recipes coming Chris l love the new ideas (to me) Cheers Robert Down Under

A taste of heaven! This dish is a culinary masterpiece.
Thank you, we agree!
Peppers and eggs or potatoes and eggs were a popular dinner in my house growing up! Thanks for the reminder!
Yes, potatoes are an awesome addition! Thanks so much for your input!
Love these. I like cutting off the end of an Italian loaf, pulling the center out, and stuffing it back with the peppers and eggs!
Hard not to love that….
Thanks so much for your support!!
He loves to cook and feed people.
Thanks Zelda! We love sharing great recipes and ideas!
I think allowing the peppers and onions to char a bit would add to the flavor.
Give it a shot!

Wow, we never had these. Idk if they have those peppers in the northwest, I'm going to look around. Looks great!
If you can’t find them you can use bell peppers as well.
Thank you!
