Regarding mouse pointer: HIGHLIGHT it or use something like the "pinpoint" app! NOTHING is more frustrating to marginal vision than a tiny mouse point jumping all over the screen (fast or slow doesn't matter when it's too small, to begin with).
I'm screen recording on my Samsung 21g, I'd flip the phone sideways and hit the full screen option on the video I'm recording. All was fine. Now, anything I screen record is pinched, or zoomed way out. It's a tiny box. Help
Have you tried first turning your phone's direction THEN recording? When you flip the aspect ratio on your phone (from horizontal to vertical or vice versa) you confused the aspect ratio and it's trying to squish it to fit the old size. Start with the angle you want, THEN record. See if that helps.
A few of us at TechSmith have tried and liked Krisp.ai for removing noise during live recordings. If you are a Camtasia user on Mac or a TechSmith Audiate user you can use the Remove Noise feature in the Effects bin to clear it from any videos you’ve already recorded.
Hey Matt! Great video, thank for your tips. Can you shed some light on the copyright aspect of screen recording? I'm making a review of an online course and wanted to include some shots of the course website but I'm not sure if it's ok to use it without the platform's permission and I'm struggling to find a clear answer online. Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately as a corporation we're not in a position to offer legal advice on copyright, however while researching this look into Fair Use specifically related to Reviewing work.
Without anymore details then that you'll need to open a Camtasia Technical Support ticket to get help. bit.ly/ts-gethelp Please be aware they are a bit backed up right now and may take a few days (up to a week) to respond, but they will help look into it with you.
Does anyone know if you screen record videos off a website, will it have a filename containing traces of the original source? For example: Screen_Recording_JPay_1_1
When you record your screen we have a default naming stucture based on date that you recorded, and the chronological order of your recordings after that. No original naming should show up unless you change it after the fact.
@@techsmith awesome, thank you. Are you familiar with JPay? It's why I threw that in there. Was wondering if screen recordings from that site would have more strict file coding. To where it would show up in the file name... otherwise such an incident shouldn't occur
@@daffydlandegge3843 I am familiar yes, but unfortunately as far as Camtasia is concerned as a desktop-software it's only recording your screen. It's not aware of the content that you're recording. You can always blur content out of course if it's of a sensitive nature (from the annotations tab). But the recording name will still just be the date of the recording and then any exported file names you give it.
Thank you for this! I love your colour-organized bookshelf, BTW
Thanks Michelle! We're trying to be more intentional about our use of mise-en-scène (and our use of fancy terms)! :)
Thank you, I was very impressed.
Thank you so much for this!
I found this very helpful. Thank you.
The tips about the mouse is very important. thanks for sharing

Agreed. The cursor effects in Camtasia are great for making the cursor stand out. The cursor smoothing is fab too , removes those jumping movements.
Thank you
Good tips, Matt. I just discovered a few things that I need to fix in my videos.
Thanks for watching, Buddy! We always appreciate your support. :)
Great set of tips here Matt!
Thanks Gord!
Good vídeo, thumbs UP!

How do I get that circular mouse pointer to highlight something?
In Camtasia under Cursor Effects you'll find "Cursor Highlight." You can change the color or size in the Properties panel. I hope that helps!
Hi when I am doing screen recording I am getting yellow screen, when I am recording the screen please can u explain me.please.

Tip 10 - don't have a creepy bear's head staring at you from the bottom left of the screen. Once you see it, you can't stop looking!!!!

Whatever it takes to keep you engaged! ;D
