That right there proves my point. Black people don't go around thinking along those lines. They are not the way everyone portrays in media and movies. So they don't have that stuff. You get off at 5 PM, ask those folks what you can do to help for how ever many hours you can; and then go home. These folks are basically taking turns protecting their entire community; instead of just focusing on their families. It takes a village. Most people have forgotten that. Life has a way of reminding you of the importance of this concept though.

Somehow you've been blinded from the fact that MOST people of color work very for what we have, and lifting our communities is a priority. Also that most are 2A supporters, and own our fair share of firearms. Many are prior or current LEO's and military. I come from a family of current and prior military and LEO's on both sides. I spent 24 years in the United States Marine Corps infantry myself. I'm personally a country boy from Northwest Arkansas that grow up hunting and fishing. No different than any white kid I knew, and hunted more than most. I've also made sure that my four children, two boys and two girls, all know their way around firearms from .22lr revolvers to AR platforms and shotguns. Just like most every other 2A supporter out there no matter the color of their skin. Stop hanging on to stereotypes you hear instead of you finding out for yourself from real sources.

That right there proves my point. Black people don't go around thinking along those lines. They are not the way everyone portrays in media and movies. So they don't have that stuff. Most don't even have a gun. So their not thinking along those lines. They are literally saying the same thing the people defending the police are saying. We are condemned because of a few bad apples. So It'll protect their hearing and make it easier to carry but they never had intention on ever using them so they never cared about comfort. I'm proud to be black. And even though my children are afraid to leave the house...I'll instill this in them too. You try to be peaceful and live side by side but the time will come when you have to choose to fight for a better way of life. This isn't about just race. Because their are so many of every race standing right there with us. This (to me) is a fight to protect this next generations right to live in a safe environment. One where they can run up to a cop and ask for a sticker without being profiled and shot. So that they can live a better life, free of violence and paranoia. @@clam741 I'm pretty sure it's not about the money in this situation. This is volunteering. You get off at 5 PM, ask those folks what you can do to help for how ever many hours you can; and then go home. These folks are basically taking turns protecting their entire community; instead of just focusing on their families. It takes a village. Most people have forgotten that. Life has a way of reminding you of the importance of this concept though.
MIDWEST MOE it does come down to money , because u can’t stay up all night and then work all day so if your up all night protecting the community , u eventually run out of money to pay for life at home . I understand taking shifts with others in the community but I personally wouldn’t be able to participate for any extended amount of time .
