Looked a bit like a round Sicilian. It looked fantastic. Lots of Italians immigrated to Argentina and so it's not surprising that there are so many pizzerias there.

    • @Jamesnu

Yeah, it definitely had some similarities to a Sicilian. I really liked it! Absolutely! There's a strong Italian influence that can be felt all over Argentina.

Cast? Pizza is iconic to Buenos Aires (aka pizza porteña) but Neapolitan style is getting a rebirth in the last few years. Highly recommend Bar Roma and Pony Pizza for next time!

As a porteño, I recommend you "Los Inmortales" in Avenida Corrientes, it is a pizzeria close to Guerrin but less touristy and is not as crowded. It was founded also back in the thirties and is absolutely delicious. If you go, try a "napolitana" (it is similar to a margherita pizza) or provolone (it is with an special argentinian very salty chesse), and try them with "faina" (an Italian sort of pancake made of chickpea flour that you put it on top of the pizza). You will thank me!! I hope you are having a good time in Buenos Aires!!

Guerrin is not the best, but it is in the top 5. There are other pizzerias that are very close to it. Yes, it is possibly the most famous and the most elegant in a certain way because the pizza dough for which Guerrin is known is the thinnest. In particular I prefer "las Cuartetas"

The argentinian pizza is the best in the world, and it's not just me saying it, even really famous people say it.

That's a shame. I still enjoyed it though and it still seems pretty popular.

Mr. Yank. You could. At least. Learn to pronounce the name of the pizzeria. It’s just one word in a “foreign language”.

Went in and walked out, this isn't Pizza its cheese pie. Just gross, nothing but cheese which seems to be the style here, thank goodness we had Pizza in Colombia last week because we won't be eating any here.

It's always entertaining to me when people make these videos about Argentinian pizza and have to pretend to like it (it's garbage)

Güerrín is far, far from the best or most famous pizzeria in Buenos Aires. It’s a nostalgic place for locals for sure, but I don’t know a single Porteño who would consider it to be the best. This guy has no clue.

    • @Jamesnu

It has more reviews than any other pizzeria in Buenos Aires. Look it up.

@@Jamesnu, Just because it has “more reviews” means absolutely nothing. I have a place in Buenos Aires and would venture to guess that I’ve been to every good pizzeria in the city and certainly more than you. Stop and think why and where it has reviews and you’ll probably realize that most of what you’re listening to are tourists

I definitely had a lot of that food throughout my trip. I just didn't film everything for videos, but I should have a video out soon where I visit a parrilla. I hope you enjoy your return to Argentina!
