    👍 Fantastic explanation sir, However I have doubt. I wanted to know what is the purpose of connecting input positive to left end of coil( diode cathode) and common terminal of relay. I have seen this same circuit in many TH-cam videos but none have explained this much in detail. I am really enjoying the content that you post in every video.👏🙏 Sir you are the best teacher so far to me. Also can you show how current flows in before and after battery charging.

    • @TechInsert
      @TechInsert  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Positive terminal is connected to one end of the coil and negative end will receive the coil thru the shut regulator that is cathode ( 3rd pin). The relay will switch on and off by the shunt regulator. The poitive end is connected to the center pin of the relay terminal. In one terminal red led is connected(Normally Open) and the other terminal green led is connected. In red led terminal we are conencting 1N 5408 and to battery. So current will flow from center pin of relay to normally open terminal and then to 1N 5408 and to battery positive terminals and negative terminal of the battery is connected to the negative supply of charger. Tl431 is independend of the charging current flow. It will only control whether to charge or not that is acutally decided by the resistor divider circuit.
      Thanks you very much for loving my video. I will always try to keep the quality of my videos. :)

      @@TechInsert Thankyou for your reply. The coil of the relay is energized, when by input positive and negative from Tl431 3pin and relay switches from NC to NO thereby red led lights up indicating battery is charged. Sir am i correct? How to modify this circuit for18 volt 21 volt and 36 volt

    • @UldaneMangu
      @UldaneMangu 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      This is not a voltage regulator circuit. This is an auto cutoff circuit. If you are using a 6v or 12v or 24v or 36v battery, then just connect this circuit between charger and battery. This circuit will auto cutoff the battery from charger when the battery becomes fully charged. This will prevent overcharge problem and thus increase in life span of battery.

    Pls I will like to show u a circuit.
    What of if we want to add a 10k tremot to the base of the transistor to set the cut-off voltage we want the circuit to stop charging when the battery reaches the set cutt-off voltage.
    And sir the center pin move from NC to NO and we use NO as the output positive terminal for the battery. But when we want to set the cutt-off voltage using the 10k trimpot the NO become dienergized; meaning that we will have no out put right, and now we connect a battery of 11v that has an actual rated voltage of 12v.
    Will the circuite charge?
    Note: that the NO has no power since we have set the cutt-off voltage

      Am confuse about something
      When the circuit is energized the middle pin move from NC to NO? Which means NC will have no power at it terminal. When the cut-off is set is the middle pin not suppose to move to NC?
      Or is it that the power will start flowing when the battery is connected and is below the cut-off voltage.
      Pls explain
