    Very honest and objective presentation...As we say in England "Would you buy a used car from this man", the answer in this case is a resounding YES.

    Great presentation, and a very well priced car.
    The silver Seraph was only produced between 1998 and 2002, and only 1570 was ever made.
    Your car is actually more rare than you might know, this car is 1 of only 170 "Last of line" special edition.
    - The Silver Seraph Last of Line is a special edition of the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph. The model was meant to mark the termination of the production of Rolls-Royces in the factory in Crewe, property of Volkswagen. In 2003 (end of 2002) BMW would become the owner of Rolls-Royce.
    The person which buys this car will get a very rare and well equiped car.
    I drive a Silver Seraph myself, and they are wonderfull.

      Have you experienced, or do you anticipate, problems with the computer(s)? There seems to have been a good bit of anxiety in that regard - that one would be unable to replace the computer/microcomputers. Is there someone who can provide tech support for rare cars?

    • @asdf9481
      @asdf9481 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have never had any problems with any computer in my car. I have never read about computerproblems in any RR/Bentley forums either. I think the computers are made by VW or BMW.
      The Silver Seraph are great cars to drive, it’s a true old times luxurycar.

      Nice eye. The last of the line has the Spirit of Ectasy in the center caps instead of the standard RR. It also has those badges on the bottom of the front fenders as well. Other additions to that specific model are chrome mirrors and red inserts for the writing on the trunk lock cover and front grille. Nice to see someone appreciates these rare "last of the line" models.

    11:06, dyeing is a short term solution to make the sale, after a few years it will look exactly the same. Replacing the panel will be the only lasting solution. My MB seats were done by the seller, they looked phenomenal, 5 years later I can clearly see what he was hiding to make the sale.

      TheMister Mann:
      I imported my Silver Seraph to Europe from USA, no problem.
      The cars are great, and this is a special edition and very well priced:-)
      I had some of these dings in my car, but a professional ding repair made them disappear. It's not possible to see them anymore.
      Cracking in the lacker of the wood is common on these cars, but it's no problem having them repaired. I had my wood repaired in Europe by a former Rolls Royce employee. In USA, Rau-autowood.com will fix the crackings. rau-autowood.com/rroc.htm

      I've been following a Silver Seraph 1999 on e-bay in the US. Very low milage model and in " as new " condition. Twice it's failed to meet the reserve price ( presently at 45K ) and has now been withdrawn. I priced shipment to Europe at around 2K dollars but there would be import duty and taxes to add to that. I'd be interested to know exactly how much it cost you to import your car, all included.

    Nice car, although that cracking on all the wood.... thats weird.. over heating inside?
    Those engines worry me, ive owned 2 BMW750iL, they have the same engine, there north of $6000 to service once you get to 100k miles...
    Not sure who would do the job either, BMW spent 2 weeks on my car doing it (replacing the fuel injectors as they are plastic in that generation of engine).

      BMW where involved with RR from 1994 as engineering consultants on the Seraph /Arnage. VW Bought the Bentley name and the Factory at Crewe in Cheshire in the North west of England from owner Vickers Aerospace, but, But Rolls Royce Aerospace in Derby held the rights to the "RR" symbol, the spirit of Ecstasy likness, and the Rolls Royce name, which they leased to BMW. The Bavarians could not use the Rolls Royce name until midnight December 31st 2002 and had to start from scratch at a new factory at Goodwood down in West Sussex 170 miles south............and that's the simplified version ;)

    IF YOU want a Rolls Royce and you are not a millionaire, where price is not the object, then you must strive for two, very important qualities your older Rolls must have. First, low miles. Servicing an older Rolls is going to be very costly for the average person. If you buy a Roll, albeit in good condition, but with a lot of mileage, you will soon be digging deep into your wallet. Secondly, you need to know where and how the vehicle was kept, and by what type of owner. Even if the Rolls has low mileage, a spotty service record or harsh use by the original owner(s) could spell the difference whether you have to be off road servicing the car or driving it. There is a reason these cars loose so much value so quickly. Obviously, it is not because of the build quality, but the cost of ownership..

    • @wholeNwon
      @wholeNwon 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The "build quality" is reflected in the frequency of repair rate. I would never burden myself with the numerous annoyances that develop over time. Then there's the image problem that is somewhat mitigated by the Bentley badge even with VW ownership.

      My 1964 Silver Cloud III is more expensive than the average car, but because it has always been properly serviced and maintained it doesn't need costly repairs.

  • @jstevenson7121
    @jstevenson7121 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    The shark had been jumped at RR by this time. Quality was good but declining. Veneer not solid wood. BMW etc parts bin. There's a reason these are cheap. Much better to get a 2000's Arnage.

    • @bartekpekala77
      @bartekpekala77 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jstevenson7121 Arnage is almost the same car, with even more BMW parts. Nowadays there are a lot of BMW parts and whats most funny, bimmers get all of these new tech pieces first

    • @mscott3918
      @mscott3918 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Veneer is generally used because solid wood doesn't show much of the really decorative marking. My 1964 Silver Cloud III has veneer.

      @@UltraMotorsports Sorry, this was the third car video I watched in which that word was misused. I should have ignored this one too. But you did not use it in the context you imply in your deceptive answer. In fact, you implied that all your cars are unique; impossible, by definition.
