Road Games is such a fun oddball little gem. Cinecrisis, you bring up a good point about the final stinger. It was a little out of place / blunt when you consider the rest of the movie is a lot more subtle and clever. But well worth a watch for the performance of Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis. Good to hear you guys touch on this one.

I saw this segment from your previous longer stream. The early 80's was incredibly innovative, a sort of cultural cross-pollination from the late 70's. _Road Games_ was a very good indy thriller when the Aussies still knew how to make very good movies. Plus the score was by Brian May (not of Queen band) who also composed the _Mad Max_ movies. The only fault it has is the two American leads in the movie. By that I mean: what were the odds of there being an American truck driver picking up an American hitchhiker on the way to Perth, Australia? I'm guessing that's the reason why the movie bombed in Australia first before bombing in the US later. Had the director, Richard Franklin, cast Australians in the movie then I'm sure it would've been a big hit in its home country before going on to repeat the same sort of word-of-mouth business in the US market.

Thanks for watching! Interesting observations and I agree, the movie certainly made some odd choices. But still a very fun movie.
