I have my own Ego (a more basic model) and I love it. Not having to service it yearly is so convenient. I also like the quieter operation and the lack of exhaust fumes. It's nice being able to store it in a corner of my basement. That reduces clutter in my yard and practically eliminates any chance of theft.

Mine comes in two days. Very excited about it. I'm sick of my old Craftsman. It did okay, but I'm not the kind of person that mows multiple times a week. I need a mower that can cut, and I'm hoping the torque of electric is going to do that. I have some concerns about rear drive wheels and the fact you can just clutch the self propelled feature like you can with belt driven gas mowers, but the fact I can fold that sucker up and stick it in a corner versus hitting it with my car doors all summer outweighs whatever ergonomic adjustments I will need to make in my mower style I think. We shall see.

TVM! I am in the process of trying to decide which mower to purchase and your video made up my mind that this is the one!

I have the same model and I also like it. It does have powerful blade torque. However it doesn’t have the suction power of the 12 year old, 10.5 hp, 33” Craftsman mower that I sold to help finance over half the amount of the EGO mower. Therefore, even with the Lift blade, the EGO mower leaves behind acorns and some heavier twigs.

LOL. So a $500-$750 lawn mower, where cost different really only changes battery run time, does not do as well as your $1500+ gas powered mower? Who would figure.

@@TheRealKarlis The mower was $850 plus tax. My point is a gas mower for even half that price would have more horsepower to suck up acorns and twigs than the electric mower. But I'm still glad I switched to electric for various reasons.

There is no rear roller so no stripes or rolling of the turf. Also without a rear roller mowing close to the edges of flower beds is problematic, a machine with a rear roller won't fall off the edges.

Here in California, we can't buy gas-powered mowers/blowers beginning 2024 iirc.

Oh no, has something gone wrong? We been using ours for a few years now, no issues. Much better than our previous gas mowers in our case.

Seems the tech has lapped you bro. Today’s battery type mowers are awesome, providing you get the higher level like this one that has more torque.

And you're still charging with fossil fuels. So you're Polluting just as much as everybody else with gas Mowers😢

      Not necessarily, solar is big

You may be surprised to learn that emissions from one 4-stroke lawnmower operating for one hour is equivalent to one average vehicle traveling 500 miles. Gas-powered lawn equipment is terrible, emissions-wise. Even charging it with a coal-powered grid will be way less harmful pollution-wise.

Most of us are smart enough to know most power plants in the US don't operate on gasoline or coal.

My house produces so much solar that the meter runs backwards and the power company pays me. I can disconnect from the grid and run on battery. You are saying that an electric mower charged at my house is running on fossil fuel? Nonsense.
I know lots of people near me who are in the same situation.

I personally don’t care about that, I just don’t enjoy the smell of gas. 😂
