Alister Dante ABSOLUTELY :D he's always loved the sound of his own voice. I'm a fan though ;) and Billy is intelligent with a nice calm voice and demeanor, so no harm no foul? LOL
He's great!! I loved the Smashing Pumpkins growing up. Everlasting glaze from the Machina album was thee very 1st time I heard Smashing Pumpkins. I didn't buy it, but was lucky enough to borrow it from the library. His wrestling company, NWA, is one of thee best unexpected things to ever happen to me. It's sooooo f'n fantastic!! I absolutely had no idea whatsoever of how great it would be until I watched it last night. I discovered it last night & became a wrestling fan again after I stopped back in 2007 when Chris Benoit died (he was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid & still is). Corgan knows quality. Love that dude man!!
He interrupts and talks over Joe constantly. I like him and it's not about Joe but Jesus. Obviously knows he's famous and always has the upper hand. Ruins it.
I sat right next to Billy Corgan at Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit. I had no clue who he was until they showed us on the big screen saying smashing pumpkins front man. Then after the reaction from the crowd I knew I wasn't alone.
actually not too surprising. Smashing Pumpkins were one of the biggest bands in America in the '90s but they broke up in 2000 and rock changed a lot in the following decade. It was all nu-metal, post-grunge, punk pop or emo rock. When Billy reformed SP in 2007, it was hard for them to get any kind of traction with their new material.
Wrong Billy! I'm a huge fan or your music and I love that you're involved in pro wrestling. Some of us love you for all of your passions! And I know I'm not the only one. You rock Billy!
I wish Joe wasn't so cynical about pro-wrestling. Would love to see some guys on his show. He's the kind of guy who thinks that because it's acted it's not worth your time. Pro-wrestling is super fun, it's just that.
Joe said it on another podcast. His problem isn't that is fake, it's that it looks fake. He gave an example of watching a fight scene in a movie. If he sees a move/submission applied incorrectly, it ruins it for him.
He Was an Amazing Addition to It ... Hope the Deal Between AEW & NWA and Impact & AEW All Turns into an "Open Door" Policy Between All 4 and Others (MLW, AAA, New Japan/All Japan, WWC/IWA/La Liga, Etc.)
As a wrestling fan and pumpkins fan I'm really interested where this goes. Billy can and already has brought a lot of exposure to the NWA. Make a deal with ROH and get on TV. Sign cm punk
I've realized that a lot of famous people either don't understand what humbling means, or react in a really weird way to praise and success. I always think it's weird when somebody wins an Oscar or something like that and then says in their speech how humbling that is. I would understand if loosing humbles them, but when you win a major award you should feel like being the king of the world.
Artists Aliens i dont even understand the word or speak english, but i think its is in this case that you are saying, like they are over overwelmed, "cant believe it is possible that they have won" or so, no?
Was this all the pro wrestling talk from his appearance on JRE? I don't really wanna listen to the entire podcast I just wanna hear about the pro wrestling stuff.
such an interesting interview, almost prefer it in these short clips honestly, the information retains better... curse this ADHD! lmao technology right?
I agree with Joe here I don't recall the men roller derby but the women's definitely had more television coverage. See how I meant about Rogan being aware of Killa Kowlaski even tho both guys with Boston roots Rogan obviously and Killa was the days of Bruno Sammartino etc then he watched until Wrestlemania 1-3 ish
I'm from Little Rock Arkansas and back in maybe 1999 the Smashing Pumpkins played a local venue and someone in the crowd through a Birkenstock and hit Corgan in the head with it and he vowed to never play in Arkansas again and didn't return for 15 years he just recently came back a few years ago. A FREAKING BIRKENSTOCK!! lol
That's weird that he said that because I've never saw Billy Corgan as a "goth, vampire" type. Or Smashing Pumpkins music as "goth, vampire" type of music for that matter. Not at all.
Joe “I actually don’t give a fuck about pro wrestling and call pro wrestlers pussy because ufc is that real fight shit but I just want to have a nice conversation with a famous musician “ Rogan.
Billy "I had Smashed a Guitar on Lou E. Dangerously (Sign Guy Dudley)'s head in ECW" Corgan, because of a feud with Justin Credible (?) (with the "King of Old School" Steve Corino); Lou. E. Dangerously = Lou D'Angeli
I wonder if today Dixie doesn't wish she'd work things out with Billy....even if it meant surrendering a large percentage of the company to his control. Point being that longtime Canadian partner and distributor via FIGHTNetwork, Anthem Media Group, who already owned a minority stake in TNA Entertainment LLC thanks to bankrolling a number of the final Carter Era TV tapings and possibly Slammiversary in 2016, would end up paying the settlement in Corgan's suit and thereby gaining 95% controlling interest in the company while Dixie Carter retained a measly 5% ownership stake. In fact I believe they've since acquired that 5% share and own the company outright these days. It hasn't always paid to be a fan of TNA/IMPACT but I've followed the promotion since the 1st weekly ppv and have been beyond thrilled with the majority of Anthems decisions. Bringing Scott D'Amore back along with Don Callis to run the company was genius and though Callis is no longer part of management, Jimmy Jacobs and Tommy Dreamer...seemingly his replacements, have done a marvelous job. Dixie might be responsible for LOL TNA and she may be fairly criticized for much of what she did, including the handling of Billy Corgan, she also helped to keep the company afloat in 2002 and running for nearly 15 years and for that she deserves a good deal of recognition as well.
Billy is a very interesting and intelligent person. I could listen to him talk for hours!!!
Alister Dante ABSOLUTELY :D he's always loved the sound of his own voice. I'm a fan though ;) and Billy is intelligent with a nice calm voice and demeanor, so no harm no foul? LOL
*buttercuppy*
I think anyone with an ounce of intelligence and ZERO up-talk is considered to “like hearing their own voice” nowadays.

Joe Rogan is such a closet wrestling fan.
I believe he is XD
@Donovan Izaiah no one cares
For sure!
After this he's has Dallas Page, Jake Roberts and Undertaker on the show
If he knows tna hes a fan 100%
I like the pumpkins and wrestling so im nerding out
Me too
I sat right next to Billy Corgan at Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit. I had no clue who he was until they showed us on the big screen saying smashing pumpkins front man. Then after the reaction from the crowd I knew I wasn't alone.
lmaooo
I was cheering for you bro!!
Hahaha GOLD!!!

@@aniym21000 so was nu metal considered like the rap rock thing??
Wrong Billy! I'm a huge fan or your music and I love that you're involved in pro wrestling. Some of us love you for all of your passions! And I know I'm not the only one. You rock Billy!
👀
Me too!!
Your opinion doesn’t matter
I could totally talk with Billy about his guitar gear and the history of wrestling.
I wish Joe wasn't so cynical about pro-wrestling. Would love to see some guys on his show.
He's the kind of guy who thinks that because it's acted it's not worth your time. Pro-wrestling is super fun, it's just that.
Some of the guys would be amazing for guests indeed... imagine rvd, kurt angle or cm punk. That would brake the internet haha
Kurt Angle was one my first ideas. Since it would be far easier for Rogan to accept him as an athlete.
Rei Bob Pretty funny since UFC essentially is real pro wrestling with characters and promos
Rogan was still clueless. He didnt even know NWA's lineage far surpassed WWE's
Joe said it on another podcast. His problem isn't that is fake, it's that it looks fake. He gave an example of watching a fight scene in a movie. If he sees a move/submission applied incorrectly, it ruins it for him.
Billy could easily be a goth vampire in pro wrestling. It’s pro wrestling for crying out loud
"goth vampire guy" lol ava adore
I feel like Billy Corgan kind of owns being a rich rockstar..like he doesn't bullshit
Billy did great for TNA they messed up big time i hope NWA does well
Thanks to Dixie Carter
His Run with the NWA Looks Pretty Awesome
He Was an Amazing Addition to It ... Hope the Deal Between AEW & NWA and Impact & AEW All Turns into an "Open Door" Policy Between All 4 and Others (MLW, AAA, New Japan/All Japan, WWC/IWA/La Liga, Etc.)

This comment did not age well
Billy off the top rope...🤸
😂
Don't get caught in a CORGAN CRUSHER!!!
"Homer Simpson, smiling politely".
"They want me to be this goth vampire guy, or whatever..."
That sounds like a pretty good start for a gimmick, if you ask me.
I was one row behind him at wrestlemania 21 in Los Angeles. He is a real fan
0:15 actually second oldest the oldest wrestling promotion is cmll founded in 1933 in mexico the nwa was founded in 1948
I can't decide which guy's head is shinier.
Joe's got more of a sheen. Billy's got a glow.
Stone Cold's
Mr Clean
It’s like watching a visual representation of Anton LaVey’s musk odor
Billy is like humpty dumpty
I got a challenge for Joe. Go down to the WWE performance center for a month or 2 and take some bumps. I don’t think it will work out so well for him.
Him being into wrestling made me love him more (if at all possible)
Pumpkins fan AND wrestling fan. Do you Billy. Love ya since 92 🤘
Luke Gallows' doppelganger. lol
Corgan would be my favourite celebrity to hang with. Loves wrestling and good music.
Billy “my other great grandmother ALSO watched wrestling” Corgan.
I could see females being into it though. They sometimes like unexpected stuff.
I never laughed so much from a comment from youtube, THANK YOU!
My great grandmother loved wrestling. For some reason old ladies love wrestling.
the pro wrestling industry makes the music business look hospitable, caring, and tame.
I remember when I first heard Billy was a fellow wrestling fan I started marking out because I'm Smashing Pumpkin and wrestling fan.
Joe is confused about how Billy got into wrestling which I get but what about how the Fear Factor Host gets into MMA? lmao crazy world
Mike Stanis Joe is a martial art expert so MMA makes more sense for him when you think Billy from Pumpkins to NWA
Dave G
And billy is a wrestling expert
joe was into combat sports over a decade before fear factor lol
Billy "here is a short story" Corgan
Billy you Do à amazing job 👍 for NWA.
Pro wrestling has a way in luring people in and not letting them leave or they’re unable to leave.
It’s so interesting to see how talented people discus success, to see how each other actually got where they are.
It's awesome how he's had Diamond Dallas Page, Jake Roberts and Undertaker on the show after this
Billy, I am a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan and a Wrestling fan. Pretty cool Man.
Joe should get Ric Flair on the podcast
He's Been Trying to Do So Forever
Came expecting Joe to shit on pro wrestling like he usually does. Surprised he didn't
William Shapiro Joe only like Wrestling in his young years mid 80's but lost interest into his young teens
Joe loves and respects billy Corgan.
Kinda makes him a bitch or a suck ass?
I mean I think most times it's Tony he's talking with, and Tony's his boy so they'll rib each other
I'm not a fan of wrestling, but the business is so fcking interesting
His laugth in 2:15 had me dying
billy corgan looks like uncle fester from the adams family. lol

yes
Corgan is the Man!
The way he wears that jacket says otherwise. Lol. He is a cool guy.
I remember my ex girlfriend being in denial that Billy Corgan was ever a wrestling fan or was involved with ECW at one point.
Lou Thesz has to be the biggest NWA champ of all-time, not Flair, not Dusty. Which is not to say that those two are not great.
Love you Billy but it's Flair and Harley Race. Those are the top 2 NWA champions.
That clock at 2:39 is super trippy
Hockey fights, roller dirby, wrestling, the good old days. Hockey and Wrestling are boring nowadays.
such an interesting interview, almost prefer it in these short clips honestly, the information retains better... curse this ADHD! lmao technology right?
I never knew this but Billy Corgan is so weird and awesome!
Billy Corgan is badass!!!!
bro at certain angles billy looks exactly like norm macdonald
I LOVE NWA POWERRR 💥
How do you like The Circle Squared.
Meanwhile I just attended a Smashing Pumpkins festival with wrestling between the sets
Kurt angle and cm punk would be nice guests
Cant say that Wrestling does much for me but i love that Billy loves it. I never understood that macho / toxic “sports guy vs music guy” conflict.
CMLL is the oldest wrestling promotion in the world, that's the Mexican wrestling lucha libre promotion.
What Cool Great Grandmothers he had.
I wonder if he'll be able to make NWA into a more mainstream promotion
So far with the way they're booking Powerr it's going really well.
I'd actually love to see John Cena on the Joe Rogan show.
There's a Bunch of Wrestling Stars & Personalities I Would Love to See on JRE ... Cena is Up There
I agree with Joe here I don't recall the men roller derby but the women's definitely had more television coverage. See how I meant about Rogan being aware of Killa Kowlaski even tho both guys with Boston roots Rogan obviously and Killa was the days of Bruno Sammartino etc then he watched until Wrestlemania 1-3 ish
I would of booked Billy Corgan to win the TNA World Title!
Mens rollerderby is called rollerball.
Atom Manhattan LOVED that movie.
Women’s roller derby was like mud wrestling in a way for cold climates lol 😂
Also remember gangrel and the brood??? That was pretty cool 😎 back in the day too....
Haha! It kills the gimmick! lol Love it!
Strangely Billy has started to look like barry darsow (smash from demolition)
Anybody else watching this while taking a dump?
I found it entertaining and interesting.
Basillio11 always
Basillio11 i love watching sht when taking a sht
+jahovia82 disdik truu I'm taking a shit watching this shit
No, but I went and took a major dump afterwards as my response to seeing it...
I respect him more for being into wrestling 😅
Uncle Fester interviews Mugato.
Ric Flair, without a doubt, gave the best promos in the history of wrestling....or any sport come to think of it. Ali would be 2nd.
Flair stole lines from Ali!!! But I 👍
I love both
i always open bill burr's videos by accident because i think its a smashing pumpkins interview.
Dudes on roller skates,,,fuck that
CMLL is older than the NWA
Zachary Smith oldest promotion in existence.
Billy is very intelligent and well spoken. Not too goth vampiry.

Tommy Hallum you take smelly yuppy footwear to the face in some shit hole Arkansas town and see how you like it!
I think it's totally awesome with him doing both smashing pumpkins and nwa too....
I dont understand him getting into wrestling but as long as he likes it..I dont care.
This is awesome
Watch the Nature Boy 30 for 30. Great stuff.
"Dick The Bruiser" a great Detroiter. "Killer Kowalski" a great Detroiter.
he looks so much like Norm MacDonald, i can't un-see it.

Charlie Brown.

I guess I've been living under a rock, but I never knew billy was even a wrestling fan. Total suprise he owns the nwa.
Moby has really let himself go
supreme god leader great Pepe the Frog lol!!
GILLBERG GILLBERG
It sounds like they settled the whole TNA thing quickly so the illegal contract thing wouldn't be dug further into.
Mind
Blown
CMLL is the oldest promotion
If billy want to build that company, He should go after cm punk, Offer him the right kind of money who knows .
2:31- "the music fans don't want to hear about the wrestling thing" lol
*hear anything
