Amazing how it changes from one day to the next, water clarity has a lot to do with it, when there's no white bait in the water its always hard, in murkier conditions like that I tend to go for a lure that makes alot of noise in the water , maybe a rapala J9 or similar, fishing flies or red gill is much better with very clear water, just a suggestion.
