Glad you guys feel the same way about the sled! Adding the 10.25 gauge was all i needed because everything else is perfect. This sled seriously puts smiles per gallon on my face and not worry about price😅. Awesome video and thanks guys!
My son has a new 24 Rave and seems to be very happy with it but like you, only putting on 370 miles on it didn't give him a true test yet. I was surprised how well it handled and didn't find it tippy like some of the previous Lynx sleds we heard about. It's a very smooth powerful machine that rides very well for not having smart shocks.
I had no idea Lynx had finally expanded over on to the other side of the pond, I've been out of the snowmobile hobby for a few years now but still miss the thrill. Glad to hear guys like em! :D
I have the 23 Lynx Rave'...and I love that machine more than anything I've ever ridden. Just the fun factor alone on this sled is awesome let alone that it rides like a motorcycle, goes over large woops with no problem, and if you want to wheelie...lean back. Get this sled if you're at all interested in this type of riding.
Nice review. You are absolutely correct. You have to take into consideration the Lynx comes with all premium components that justify it’s price. My sled choice came down to 2 sleds for 2024- the Lynx or the new Catalyst. I went with the Catalyst. I know you also liked the Catalyst. I have no regrets but man, I really like the Lynx.
Some of us had a chance to ride the XTERRAIN 850 Turbo R and we have one in our press fleet for next season, but did not get a chance to ride one with the 4-stroke turbo in it.
I went from Rave to Xterrain 900R. They are 2 completely different sleds despite the similarities. The 900 R is more allround, you don't drive as hard in the moguls with the 900 as with the Rave. Having said that, the 900 R isn't exactly bad. It is the best all-round sled I have ridden. Compared to other 4 strokers such as Sidewinde or Rengade, you don't feel that it goes so hard on the skis and pps 3 means that you are constantly lifting the skis without any effort. The engine in the 900 R is wonderful! Feels sophisticated, strong fast consumes little fuel. A dream sled for longer trips. Disadvantages standard are price halogen lights and weight I would say
Another great review video AJ. Just curious if it would be possible to put r Motion X rear suspension into the Lynx 3500 ? I would much like to have the skis more planted to the ground than be wheeling the front end. I like the style of the Lynx over the Skidoo's. Also curious if the KYB 46mm shocks would work in the r Motion X rear suspension ? Any information from anybody in here would be cool. Just imaging a really cool sled for the future. Thanks. I’ve met quite a few people who prefer the 23 Lynx Rave over the 24, seems lynx is taking some of the things that made the lynx special and dumbing them down. Specifically because people who ride at 20 mph complained of a stiff ride.
Are they worth the money compared to the bigger manufacturers ? Do they have all the upgrades readily available like the big manufacturer offers? That is where the market is swayed
and imho, the xterrain re is even better. Tbh, if the only thing you can complain, basically, are the options on the display, then Rave is a very, very nice snowmobile.
@@robertbartholomew4473 I know^^ Was thinking on turbo, but as long as its 2t, and with the elevation here.. not much use. Why I like Lynx over Ski-doo is that for me, on the models I have tested.. Riding ergonomics just suit me better and can easily do 300km+ a day.
For the last 10 years, they have been overpriced. The material is not anything special. They still talk like shocks overheat, but they are Coated for another 1000 dollars. Lol
its easy to steer but it dosent turn :)) It is a purpose built sled for big moguls. If you ride on smooth trails, maybe you should have something else, although they are not bad there either
thank you AJ for telling me what i already knew. you don't buy any sleds with your own money. You remind me of my brother. Always telling me what "he would do if it was his money." Yet never spends his money on anything. never takes the risk, or never has to risk it. kinda like you guys, he lives off the coat tail of my dad. i'm probably the harshest critic of supertrax. however, when you are paid to tell everyone everything is great, hard to take it serious. Would you be ok taking a 10k hit on a sled after two years? if so, buy a lynx.
I LOVE comments like this. Trash talk us and attempt to discredit our opinions all you want, but the reality is we've tested every sled back to back and you haven't. So which of our opinions carries more weight here? 😆
I've been waiting for this review. I love mine 250 miles on it, and i can't wait to put on more. Thank you, guys, for your reviews

I have 6000 miles on my 22 with almost no miles this season and its been a blast. Time to upgrade this next year

I have the same seld too and I absolutely love it imo it looks nicer the the new ones
I agree it's meaner looking lol.

Will be nice seeing the 600r version rip up the twisties ❤
Heck yes. Great sled with the 600 in it.
Well done AJ, love the matching kit. The sled looks like a good time!
Appreciate that!
Love your reviews! Keep going like this! I'm missing one on the Xterrain 900R though
Glad you like them!
being a hardcore yammy lover but.. this, would be my first choice in the future atm, just glad its not ski-doo lol
not sure if you mentioned the Radian 2 platform as well
@Snowtrax Have you guys had the chance to ride the Xterrain 900r? How does this compare to the Rave?

They are awesome sleds. I think if you talked to other guys that have purchased one and put some miles on it already, they'd agree.
and imho, the xterrain re is even better. Tbh, if the only thing you can complain, basically, are the options on the display, then Rave is a very, very nice snowmobile.
I looking at the XTerrain Turbo version. For longer rides and more trail condition options, that thing goes over and through everything.

gotta hand it to the guys across the water , they put together one mean sled
It's so sad they did not bring the dual caliper to the whole 2025 lineup. The Xterrain is still on the old setup despite the higher price range.
I didnt see any snowmobiles while studio warehouse hunting
They arctic cat (+1) 😮
What’s the cost of it, sleds are getting out of control on prices
$23000 Canadian plus tax etc..and I agree prices are ridiculous.

Everything's expensive. Costs me a hundred bucks to walk outside these days...
Kashima coated shocks just look better
Can’t wait to smoke them next winter 💨
