I’m not afraid to say that You have sincerely opened a new door in my life. I’m a trail guy at heart who’s wanted to get into the back country for years and watching your videos has made me do just that. Thank you Matt.
Ok, to an old guy that lives in Texas and hasn't been on a sled since the early '80's this looks amazingly fun! These modern sleds horsepower, suspension and tracks are so very different than I used to see. I remember a day in Red River New Mexico where we had that that kind of snow overnight and it knocked out the power to the town so no skiing that day and it was almost impossible to find a sled to rent because so many were stuck in snow almost as deep as you're riding in. Damn I envy you young people, we had fun, just not as much as you are able to!!! Wow what a day!
I’m just a young guy in Canada. My dad is pretty wealthy and had a decent sled like this but I decided I want to wormy for my own stuff so I havnt gotten one yet but I do just fine on my Mach 1 670. And it would definitely get stuck in that snow
@@junkhondas481 Yeah the M1 670 was super exiting up to the first test ride, after that it was meh. Maybe it was designed for grass dragrace during summer. Im not saying other sleds were so great at the time but the Mach1 felt less versatile.
Haha, apologizes for not getting any good footage of the lynx, cut to perfect footage of the lynx sending it! Thanks for the great content, first good stuff I’ve seen on the lynx in NA. Appreciate your hard work man, the channel is great!
That was insane how much snow you guys were bucking! Growing up in upstate new York in the 70's we used to think 36 inches was a big snow event, haha! The Lynx looks bad ass.
You guys have some amazing gear out there. The sleds, the clothing, that helmet with the mouth area that unhinges, the cameras. Loved the technique you used to help your buddy get unstuck easier, reverse in front of him and dig a little hole.
I have been snowmobiling for 30 years and yet I've never made it to the backcountry. All goes well this year will be my first. Man that was some deep snow you guys were in...
Wow, the GoPro mounted on the front of sled, awesome view. Would be a great way to give tutorials on different riding techniques to cover different challenges for more inexperienced riders. you could also mount a forward facing camera on the same pole and do a split screen of both views so we see what's coming and how you react to it. Anyway, awesome video's, keep them coming. Thanks
Hey Matt, you post great videos! I was one of the guys you guys met that day when you started towing that sled out. I have one question, how often does the high temperature alarm come on for high belt temp? A day like that would be tough on belts.
Wow unreal conditions ,cheers to the fins they build a nice sled ! . Guy youneed a fuel sliegh for those thirsty turbos! Enjoy!! great vids Muskoka More boondocker please 🙏
Lynx has been the test ground for Ski-doo for a long time. Nice to see their products here in this Country. Not something we get to normally see in person. Very Nice.
It is like there would be a snowblower up front blowing snow directly in your face It is as to be the most extreme backcountry riding I seen so far, it is pretty then cool boys!
you guys are crazy fun .... unbelievable snow and where those machines go.... I like the Lynx so far as it seems to be the trail breaker and keeping up with the longer track... not bad matching so far ...
I’ve sledded quite a bit through the trees, but never with that much powder. Those sleds pull great. How the hell you can manoeuvre that thing through the trees and still reach up to clean the lens is beyond me, an excellent rider I must say.
Lynx makes it look effortless....just like the good old days. My 340 long track still bangs ditches like no tomorrow. Can’t wait to spring check one for next year
It actually is kind of effortless in such perfect conditions, the top layers of snow are nearly weightless and offers very little resistance even when the entire snowmobile goes submarine.
Damn..... after 25 years i finally restarted my Snowmobiling hobby, oh man what a difference to the sled i was used to! These machines practicly takes care of everything, one just have to hang on the the handlebars ;) well, sort of!
I should say why I stopped riding my old man got cancer in 04 he passed away Dec last year 2020 ... miss you dad .. we moved to Calgary for his treatment.. but now I'm going to keep his memories alive by doing the things we did when I was young what was sliding biking quading and shit even a trike or to lol
That thing is sick! I build BRP products for a living but unfortunately that doesn't necessarily mean I get to ride them like that, nor do we get that much snow! It's so cool to see what these machines are capable of.
Lynx used to be heavy and clumsy but that proved a success for the GLS 3300, it was the machine that broke the Yamaha SRV540 dominance in competition. However, had a 3300 later and the underchassis got torn apart in spring with heavy wet snow on a lake, so yeah quality wasnt great then either, of course a Yamaha had to drive out there and tow it in. Its a while ago now but things are basically still the same, you ride out on your own and ride home as passenger on a Yamaha.
MAN, this is awesome. The sound of that turbo breathing is intoxicating. I wish I could powder like this but with my back issues, one time getting stuck, and Im walking home lol
@@MuskokaFreerider Oh for sure. And I do. Looking into a 2022 Renegade Sport. I was more talking specifically on powder like that. At least not without the right sled like the Lynx. Dont think a base Renegade could navigate that kind of powder and leave me alive at the end haha
I just had one out today, had about 30 to 40 inches of snow here. I like how it side hills. I have a few issues with it I like the skis except for how the rubbers let them flop too much. The running boards don't evacuate snow as well a a summit. The vents ice over very quickly, and it needs boost!
That is crazy! That's got to be one heck of a workout! Been riding since mid teens, stopped riding for a couple years, getting back into it again, spring checked myself a Lynx should be coming in within the next 2 months! 😝🙌
Awesome footage! I know it's a pain just to even take pictures when you are riding but you did a great job. Really felt like I was there and got some great views of the lynx!
i rode a lot in the 90s but snowmobiles have gotten less popular it seems. even in northern wisconsin. seems like peopel are more into four wheeling. snowmobilers get ostracized as "bubble heads" and are considered a nuisance.
I went on my first real snow machine ride in the mountains the other day and my brother let me drive his fresh boondocker and it caught me on the sport I want a sled so bad!!!

But nothing quite like a 440 John deer sled with bogies
Ok, now It’s starting to get ridiculous.
“How much snow do you have?”
“Yes!”
There still 5 feet at bottom of yanks! Nothing in town
I'm studying engineering and last week I met the chief engineer at BRP and visited the factory. Really, reaaallyy impressive stuff
Intro is straight up 🔥 That LYNX looks soooo good!

When are you coming riding haha

Sick snow conditions!!! And another Epic Video, I watch many channels and yours is the best....
I can see why Ski Doo likes you guys demoing their new sleds! What a winter you are having!
That’s just a good dealer 👍
Some days just getting somewhere is an adventure! You guys are sooooooo lucky! Enjoy it!
That is one sexy sled, love the short tunnel!! Im def getting a boondocker!
I just love knowing other guys blow ridiculous cash on the same shit as me.
Ya but better than blowing it on ....blow
Sleds have come such a long way in 15 years it's amazing
I have an ‘06 700 RMK. The thing is basically a brick compared to the more modern sleds.

The Lynx looks bad ass.
that is so insane on how easily the Lynx just operates so smoothly in that deep powder! has no trouble at all!
Yea😩👌🏻 lynxs DS blade+ skis are overpowered. Best shit out there
its easy to be a "sledneck" on one of these machines :)
@@bjornnylander8754 i would not say so
Great video. That snow amount is sick!!! Soo wish to ride in something like that... Lynx skid looks wild!!!
it was crazy! almost too much
Here in northern MI all our snow is melted and not rideable for the past 5 days. Thanks for the videos bud! You helped me get through the winter.

Супер! Снега по шею, а снегоходы прут в горку - вот это мощь :)

what is the trick to not getting your goggles foged up? im so sick of my goggles foging up every time there is cold or snowfall..
Most TH-camrs exaggerate, "Crazy Deep" is actually an understatement. Never seen anything like this must have been exhausting.
I will always remember dad unloading our first sixty three skidoo. It wasn’t fast but was so lightweight and floated on snow. I wish I still had it.
They sure have come a long way .
Great video. Might have to wait until next season for the Boondocker Turbo.
That's my kind of vacation, to hell with the beach!
Best day riding ever for sure
So first off, snow depth is all time 🤯 second lol Landon’s 146 sounds very tired, and lastly that lynxs is bad ass!
My thoughts too
🤣🤣
Looks like you guys lost the rear snow deflector. Broke off or was taken off?
Look again, it’s there!
Not at 28:37
Correct, looks like its missing! My bad!
Maybe I’m just not seeing it but at the end when the lynx was loaded up, was the snow deflector flap that’s attached to the rear axel missing now?
Tup that’s it the lynx way
Yep, it's definitely gone.
My first sled was a 1991 340 Lynx! Its greatly improved...lol

when i watch these videos i like to play the game called spot the snowmobile
incredible machine with a rider to match
How did brp get the lynx name from artic cat
Epic!!!!, just had my first go on a sled in Finland and loved it!!
It looked like the Lynx was crushing it in the powder...did it do the best in the deep snow of all the sleds out that day?
Serious snow in the North country over 9’ looks like a lotta fun …. Not many bogie wheels on the Lynx
I used to ride snowmobiles. I don’t know what these are, but in those conditions it looks amazing.

Well done on your channel Matt 👍 great year for you 🤙
But why would you disassemble the Pow launcher of the back of the track? Must have overheated? Or did it rip off when unloading the sled?
I went on my first real snow machine ride in the mountains the other day and my brother let me drive his fresh boondocker and it caught me on the sport I want a sled so bad!!!
A question, why is the handlebars so thin? Is it for better grip with thick gloves?
I'm a polaris man but this sled is beautiful I wouldn't mind having this
Sick video! Looking forward for more
That type of sledding looks like so much fun…… I’m going to do that…. Very cool 😎 👍
What is that piece at the end of the tunnel over the track? For throwing snow up into the tunnel for cooling?
I don’t know much about skis but a 2022 with no e start???
The lynx is a beast
And a half
does anyone know where this is? such crazy amount of snow
I love the color and the chassi!
How does it breathe when it's completely covered and packed with snow?
What is that bar in the back for?
