My gosh. I have terrible auditory memory, so it took me well into the video to figure out what this song was, but once I did realize, it hit me like a freight train. It hurts so bad. I dont know how long Otonashi stayed in the in-between world before reincarnating, but the pain he felt when Kanade moved on mustve been close to enough to completely crush him. I can feel it, and it feels like dying. But after the pain there is relief, and a happy ending. Just gotta hold out.
Lovely performance thank you for uploading. Everytime I hear Angel Beats music, I wonder if I could go back and rewatch to recapture the feeling that came while watching the last episode for the first time. I fear it wouldn't be the same. Damn I need that catharsis again. That sadness of time spent together ending, everyone leaving gradually all moving on to a better place, but you'll always have those memories. Hmm.
You will never have that feeling again. Just like Kanade moving on and leaving Otonashi behind for a time, it's gone and never coming back. However, just like how they did meet again, you can have a new experience if you rewatch. That which has gone before will never come again, but what comes next can be just as valuable.
if i could watch anything back for the first time, it would surely be angel beats. the feeling in my throat and the feeling of it ending can never be topped. 10/10.
