The pause after she says “Lord Baelish” is exactly the right length for the cheers from the audience, as if they planned it with their reaction in mind :)
But that line, "My sister asked you a question" isn't really that important. It's enormously satisfying, but not that important. If anything, it serves as a cue to the audience that they should stop cheering and listen to the rest of the scene. So even if they cheer over that one not very important line, they'll know to shut up and enjoy the scene's essentials.

I love the fact that Sansa was downfall of the three greatest villains on the show and she was present at each of their deaths. Joffery (she told lady Olenna he is monster leading to a domino effect), Ramsay (she brought in the Vale by smartly using LF/army of Vale) and Littlefinger (by exposing his crimes and ordering his execution).

She started with the murder of Lysa. In front of the Knights of the Vale.
She had him trapped at that point. The Knights of the Vale knew their Lady was insane, but they are honorable and would want their Lady's death answered for.
She started with that one, to ensure he couldn't flee using the Knight's muscle as a shield.
As soon as she accused him of that, the Knights were watching him like a hawk to see if he denied. And instead he rationalized... STRAIGHTLY CONFESSING.
At that point he was fully boxed in.
My absolute favorite character died in this scene... And I enjoyed it so freaking much. It hurts, but it feels good at the same time.
I thought it was the perfect death for Littlefinger. Such an important, impactful, and unscrupulous character died in the most humiliating way. I loved it. I'll miss the shit out of his character, but I loved it.
This bastard had been asking for a terrible, shameful death since the very beginning. I'd been waiting and virtually begging for it. But when it came I just felt incredibly sad because he'd played a sneaky, evil bastard of a man to the very hilt. To bloody perfection. This was what he deserved but Aiden was so bloody perfect that I just felt sad and empty. Bloody weird.
The most genius from the scene is, littlefinger never thought sansa would do this to him.

Sansa had one of the best arcs. She started a spoilt little child and grew through the series and this scene confirmed her as a badass. Her ending as a queen was fitting, because against her childish wishes it was in her family home
You know how the pack of wolves surround their enemy before they attack. This is such a great example of it. Bran, sansa, and arya are wolves and baelish is the prey.

I hear fans disgruntled about Littlefinger's demise. I think in part it's because they latched onto a theory about his part in the end game and let it root deep for years. Seeing that he's not what they thought he was or would be is frustrating for them. They also, like fans do, elevated the character to unrealistic abilities. In the end, he's still human. Further, in that room, in Winterfell, what card does he have to play? There's no political angle to play, no one there to manipulate or buy, or information he holds over anyone there. If this were in King's Landing, yeah, he'd get out of that easily. In Winterfell with no allies or assets? Once he lost Sansa, he was screwed.
And, him begging and crying at the end? Yeah, that's exactly who he always was. The most manipulative and conniving can be the most frightened and weak among us when you strip them of their influence. Ultimately, he was a hurt little boy who never got over a broken heart. He gained power as best he could and did masterfully well in doing so. But, people like that do not have the strength to hold power and wield it outside of their own benefit. When that is found out, they're out of luck.
In the Great Hall with the Lady of Winterfell against him and no allies in the room, there was no escape. Not even for the smartest man in Westeros. He screwed up by going to Winterfell. He should have sent the Vale's knights to save Sansa and stayed behind. He was way out of his element in the North.
Great points. His last protection was his status as Lord Protector of the Vale - Sansa does not want to lose the Vale Knights as allies. But LF threw that away when he admitted to killing Lysa Arryn, and effectively admits to killing Jon Arryn as well. So Lord Royce now has the excuse he needs to refuse to help LF.

I'd personally say that death was on a par with Joffrey's in terms of satisfaction for us. He was a brilliant player of the game, but in the end he was his own downfall, teaching Sansa too much. His fault was when he mentioned that Arya would become the Lady of Winterfell if she killed Sansa; he was oblivious to the fact that Arya has never wanted that, whereas Sansa wasn't.

Xorbeus I'd argue that Bran can't see EVERYTHING... otherwise he'd have known about Rhaegar and Lyannas marriage without Sam telling him. He might have to know where to look or be triggered. He mentioned Sansas wedding as they sat under the tree the ceremony was held at. He said "chaos is a ladder" only after Littlefinger said the word "chaos". So Sansa could have come to him to confirm her suspicions.

It's interesting, when I watch these videos I vicariously re-experience the emotions I felt when I watched the episodes for the first time. I can't get excited by the drama when everything is revealed but when its pronounced by the several dozen people all experiencing it for the first time I get to feel that way again.

Major props to Aidan Gillen for his portrayal of Baelish. The catharsis from his death can only be achieved when the character is reviled to perfection.
Anyone who couldn't see this coming wasn't paying attention. Sansa planned on killing little finger when they declared john king in the north in the last season. You can see it in her eyes when the crowd is cheering and she glances over to little finger and notices he is NOT happy about it. She knew that meant trouble, but had to be careful because of his influence over her cousin Robin. Lose Baelish and lose the Vale and the army that comes with it. But I truly believe that was the moment when she knew she was going to have to get rid of him.
OH, I believe it was before that; I believe she marked him in the Eyrie as her black dressed told us coming down the stairs.

My wife and I HATED him. That said, his character was great, and will be missed.
Storywise, his death makes sense. Littlefinger pretty much personifies the fighting over the throne and given that everyone is on the verge of an apocalyptic war for survival, there is no place for his kind of scheming. It's petty. He's got to go.

The testimony of the “Three Eyed Raven” is damning, and Littlefinger knew it. The sheer look of disbelief on his face when Bran reminded him of what he had said to Ned (about not trusting him) just before his execution, was priceless.

Thats "Bronze" John Royce! One of thé best fighters in the Seven Kingdoms lol! Veteran of many battles.
In the books, he's só damn good, he fights/spars Ser Rodrick Cassel with 1 hand, and Ned Stark with the other.... making sport of the two.
I do think John Royce should have been given a few more lines in this scene. After all, with Littlefinger dead, he's now acting Protector of the Vale, and mentor to the young Robbin Arryn! And ofcourse a valued, loyal and honorable friend to the Starks!
Imho they could have lighted John Royce up a bít more instead of 'just another Lord-this or that'...Fighting-wise, he was a badass amongst badasses, and one of thé most honorable and noble Lords in all of Westeros!
I genuinely believe the screenwriters intentionally put that long pause (23 seconds) in the dialogue after Sansa's "Lord Baelish" at least in part to give the world-wide cheering a chance to die down. By now they know their audience. But it also totally worked to play up Littlefinger getting completely ambushed. Great scene, great video.

It's funny how this very scene motivated me to get out from an abusive relationship a year ago. This showed me that change is possible, especially when you owe it to yourself.

This scene is so satisfying. It was baelish who was responsible for this entire GOT. And having him killed like this was fantastic. Above all, we have to give ut to baelish though, for helping the starks in battle of bastards by bringing in the knights of the vale. Thats the only good thing he seem to have done.
Sansa dealt with the most sadistic characters in the show, Joffrey and Ramsay. And learned lessons from Cersei, Margaery and Littlefinger. Op af

With Lord Yohn Royce and the Knights of the Vale standing right there, I'm pretty sure that Sansa called Petyr out for killing Lysa and seizing control of the Vale because executing Petyr and avenging Lysa would be a surefire way to secure the Vale's support for House Stark. Plus, after Petyr threatened to have Yohn dropped through the Moon Door over one of Petyr's false accusations, Yohn was probably just itching to see Petyr take a dive. Sansa's own feelings for her Aunt Lysa had to take a backseat; such are the demands of diplomacy.

What's with all the people complaining about him dying? Yes, he was a good character, but he was an awful person who screwed over the Starks AND the Lannisters. And this scene DOES make sense with his character, he's no warrior, he's not gonna try to fight his way out, he tries to get out of the situation with words and tricks. And finally, people likely trust Bran because he probably PROVED that what he saw was real. He knew what Sansa looked like in her wedding dress. Also, a kid who can see the past probably isn't that farfetched when you realize there are DRAGONS and an ARMY OF UNDEAD in the world. This wasn't just to "give Stark lovers what they want". Was the Red Wedding just to give Lannister lovers what they want? No, it was to further the story. Littlefinger's death shows us that Sansa has learned his tricks, that she has grown as a character and doesn't need a protector anymore.

You clearly don't understand the whole point of getting out of the silent comfort of your house to go watch in a bar. Everyone there knows there'll be cheering and screaming and clapping, specially in a season finale. This is some of what makes the videos so fun to watch. If you don't like noise, there are plenty of silent watch parties out there. This isn't just happens to not be one.
