I see a lot of comments In regards to the paint job possibly being mismatched and in person, the paint job looks great it all matched and everyone that's seen has thought so as well. But im looking at the footage now and on-camera ill admit it looks off. Its extremely weird.
It looks somewhat off, it's not perfect. But sometimes even body shops don't get a perfect match, so they end up painting the entire side of the car so it is impossible to see the difference with the human eye. I had a car like that. They didn't even remove the door moldings. So when I removed the door molding, the original paint was still underneath. Now that's cheap! One side was perfect and the other side had a slightly different stripe of paint. Lovely.
Man that is an extremely awesome rebuild. I think really the first coat being darker would cause any minute tone differences still even after the rematch so I lay that on the supplier. Great recovery in the real world my hat is off to you guys. I'd drive that big girl till the whole thing was expertly cataloged in the crushed in 50 yrs. 😅
I see comments about the bumper. If my cousin takes it he will be putting a bumper replacement we were going to do the same. Also forgot about the pillar that's just a vinyl that needs to be peeled off.

Suggestion: when you are wet sanding, always add a little bit of DAWN or GAIN soap to the water. It helps float sanded off the surface, especially small bits of dust or grit and will give you a smoother finish. While you are sanding, try to go in a crass hatch pattern whenever possible allowing for body contours.
I have an identical Arcan BlackLine XL 3½ton jack sold from Northern Tool. Best jack I have! My father has a 40 year old 2½ton NAPA brand jack, not as good, but is still going strong, he had the hydraulics serviced a few years ago. Bur no matter what brand, you shouldn't just twist the handle quickly and fully decompress ASAP, they need to slowly release the pressure to preserve the hydraulics length of service, not just dump all pressure and drop the vehicle.

I always put an old street sign down under the Jack when i work outside. I had a jack turn sideways in soft ground before plus your knees will thank you too. Who likes a stone in the knee cap.
Went to local chevrolet dealer the other day browsing the new trucks after looking at the ford lot and I don't think a single truck there didn't have scrapes or dents on brand new trucks. so if it was a chevy it would fit right in.

I bought a 1995 Chevy Z71 4x4 new off the lot and in about 3 !/2 years just out of warranty the clear coat started coming off the hood and top of the cab. I took it to a guy I used for paint and body over the years and he told me the hood and top of cab had been re-painted. I said man I bought this truck new off the lot, and he said that does not matter, vehicle's get damaged all the time in transit to the dealership and they repair them and they can still be sold as brand new without telling you. My paint and body man told me at the time he had a contract with Dodge doing their paint and body repairs on new vehicles that came in damadged.So if you are going to buy new take it to someone you know that's a paint and body guy and let them check it out first.
You basically have yourself a brand new truck with a little sweat equity, and some new parts, at a fraction of that truck's original retail price. Well done Westen.
The second last mirror Weston installed 20 years ago was on the ceiling of the bedroom with emblems that said items may appear smaller then they appear

You seriously need to "camperize" an LMTV 1078 and paint it red. Maybe like a camo pattern of different hues of red. It would really be one of a kind. I really enjoyed this project.

I believe it looks different on camera because the top part is reflecting the sky and bottom is reflecting the garage.

You need to look at truck emblem warehouse website for fummins badges. They have all kinds of badges for good prices
