i also love the walks and bike rides. It’s like a vacation from home. Please keep it up. Tell your sister that your fans wish her a Happy Birthday as well. We all are finding out what it’s like to have a birthday in this pandemic. Mine was at the beginning and there were few who could understand how I felt. But I am doing what I can for others who had to unfortunately experiences a quarantine birthday.

Love these videos where you just show the surroundings! Gives me a better feel for the area, other people focus more on themselves than the area, you do a great job of both! Will add Odaiba to my list when visiting Japan when we can travel internationally safely again.

You asked about the highlight of my day. It was painting my house. I am now sitting, relaxing & having dinner cooked for me (udon I believe).
My wife & I enjoy staying at Odaiba for a few nights before we take the flight back to Australia. Before Odaiba Im allowed to be a cheap skate with where we stay or maybe do something more 'out there' as far as doing things is concerned (cycling, hiking, rafting, camping, etc). Som once that's out of my system (so to speak), it's her Luxury Time at Odaiba.
I didn't know the Nikko had swapped names. That's interesting. We have stayed at both hotels but prefer the shorter, odd shaped hotel what ever that's called these days). But both have wonderful service, high levels of comfort & amazing food. You can't go wrong.

What a lovely walkway...the cicadas are so lovely to hear. Nature is so lovely. My day has been quiet..I woke up late. But it's okay. I used to really beat myself up over getting up late. But, no more of that. So other than getting up late, I have my coffee and I'm watching your show 😊 The city we live in, Plattsburgh, Ny, is right on Lake Champlain. So there are a lot of beaches. It's nice. Oh a train ride! That would be fun! ⭐..Ohh the trees are so pretty..I wonder what the flowering trees are..so pretty. Wow..nice area...reminds me of where I grew up in Tampa, Florida.. There was an area called Hyde Park. Fairly upscale area, shops and parks, theaters. Large apartments buildings. Very nice. Thank you sharing! Have a lovely day😊

I’m a little late to this video but thought I’d put it out here. Where all the construction is is where some of the water-based Olympic events are being held (triathlon and marathon swimming) they are probably building the grandstands and other resources needed as these are not planned to be permanent venues.

Thanks for the video Shinichi! These premiers happen at 8am local time so I'm pretty much just starting my day. I really do appreciate your videos because it is nice to be able to escape the crazyness that is the USA right now. It is hard to imagine that Illinois or really most of the US getting down to the covid infection numbers (per capita) that Tokyo has right now. My region of Illinois has gone backwards in the re-opening because people are being selfish and not taking the virus seriously. Our restaurants are supposed to be closed for indoor seating and there are plenty of places that are openly advertising that they are defying the orders of the Illinois Dept of Health and continuing to have indoor seating.

Surprised me but a quick look in Google i found that Odaiba has fireworks 💥 on the 31st of December. Was beautiful. Will certainly go there again if i find myself in Tokyo. Wow. I stayed at what is now the Grand Nikko on a couple of business trips to Japan and actually ate a Burger at the Kua 'Aina restaraunt. As you said, they make really oishi burgers there. The Statue of Liberty and the Rainbow Bridge at night across the Bay with Tokyo as a backdrop is spectacular. I would recommend visiting this area or even staying there when you're in Japan. It is very well designed and developed with tons of things to do. I didn't walk on the broadwalk to the shoreline like you did so thank you very much for sharing that experience and highlights of Odaiba. 👍👍 🙇‍♂️

Shinichi I enjoy your walks, and adventures. You are an excellent guide pointing out interesting things. I find it odd that you say the best beaches (by far) are on Okinawa. I remember when there were no good beaches on Okinawa, no sand at all. We had to wear sneakers on the beach and in the water because the coral would cut your feet. Okinawa is a big coral rock formation, so every coastline had this. The water though was gorgeous; completely transparent. I wouldn't recognize Okinawa today.

Shinichi you don't need to apologise about what you show us. As a tourist we stumble across things, wander down streets and become lost. That's the great part of "unpuzzling" a city. It's fantastic to rub shoulders with the locals. If we just saw the shiniest tourist attractions it would be a very superficial visit.
I appreciate your unInstagramed TH-cam content. Some channels lose themselves by presenting with a persona that's so manufactured, I suppose under peer pressure to be a sparkly and perfect which sadly only makes them a robot. If I wanted to hear something from a robot I'd just read a travel guide pamphlet.
I feel for you in the heat with the new normal of mask wearing. In Australia we've only experienced mask in autumn and winter. Spring has just arrived.
P.S. I saw your 🏳️‍🌈 interview on Asian Boss. It was difficult to hear. 💗

Who's the handsome dude with the mustache? The best beaches in Japan is in tropical Okinawa. The weather is warm and the palm trees are swaying in the breeze. I'd rather live in Okinawa. Less people. Less traffic. Less noise.
