Stayed here for a week or so in June 2023 (exploring Tokyo and surrounds before meeting up with friends). Clean, well maintained, good bath, supermarket 20m away for any necessities, 10-15 min walk to Kagurazaka (cool neighbourhood with good bars and restraunts ).
I stayed at First Cabin at Haneda A/P in Feb '23. Was very nice. Rooms are exactly as shown in this video. My only complaint is the Business Class rooms have no room for any luggage larger than a briefcase or messenger bag. Yes, there are lockers for smallish carryon bags and a storage for larger but if one discovers they need something they have to go through several steps to retrieve what they need! But I found the First Cabin to be very accommodating and it is very close to a Lawson in Terminal one, as well as many other shops and restaurants in that terminal. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a resort, but it is pretty posh for a budget accommodation!
I am glad you had a good stay! They can expect airport passengers to have a lot of luggage, so it would be more convenient if the hotel provides luggage storage!
I'm from USA and a bidder person n@ 6 2 240. Can I fit in these without feeling claustrophobic? Also the shoers and baths I have 6 tattoos on my legs. Hows do I deal with that? Thx
Hi, I have used this capsule hotel 4years ago. They still look as great as before, but price is higher than before. There are more service than before as well. I’m going to use it next week again, it’s a good place to staying for solo travel.
There are several TH-cam channels similar to this one with travel across Japan. But this one is very soothing and goes the extra mile to really immerse you in the experience. Even though this channel is relatively new, I suspect in a year or less it’ll have quite a few more subscribers. 👍🏻
I love it. Used First Cabin twice. Firsr the normal one, another the business one. My favourite parts are the hot water bath and the space. It cause me not to waste time in the room and get out into the streets to roam. Normal hotel rooms I'll spend too much time in it. The business one has a big locker drawer beneath the bed for a lot of storage and a table! The shared space for work lets me the feel of working overseas.
Awesome video with a incredible hotel review. I just really saw so many great hotel videos but this one is so helpful to watch. I wish I would like to go there so bad, someday. 😍
I like Japanese vlogs because usually they don’t have a host hogging the camera gabbing on and on obnoxiously about absolutely nothing, blocking the view.
I stayed there for a week from February 1st to 8th, and I think you filmed it during that time The bag with the INVICTUS logo that comes out at 2:45 is my bag^^ And I was stayed at 4C21
is it true that one must check out every day even if they have booked the accommodation for multiple days? If that is the case and one has a lot of luggage how do one manage?
Everything looks perfect, sanitized, glossy, high tech, and the food appealing! And yet, after watching several of these videos, I always get a strong sense of loneliness and isolation! I mean, to begin with, the guide does not say a word or shows his face. He really takes his time to inspect everything and he never talks to anyone! To add to the isolation, almost everything seems to be self-service or automated to the point that there's no human interaction! The country, the infrastructure, the services, the food, and the civil behaviour sound like paradise! However, I've also read many articles about how lonely and under pressure Japanese people are to meet social and professional demands to the point that the country's suicide rates are some of the highest in the world! Also, seniors die alone! Now, for foreigners there are many more pressures like the formidable language barrier to live and work! So, this video kind of reaffirms the cons to living in Japan! Thus, I'd love to visit Japan and spend some time there, but I rather stay home! Sorry guys!
Hi, I'm going to Japan next month and thinking about staying at a capsule hotel. The only thing holding me back is the noise when sleeping. Can you hear other people snoring when you're in the room? They provide earplugs but I always found it uncomfortable to wear
Sometimes you can hear snoring. And it depends on who is coming in the capsule next to you! I have stayed in capsule hotels more than 10 times, and only once did I feel the need for earplugs because of snoring. I hope you enjoy your trip in Japan!
@@zensolotravel Thank you! I appreciate your reply and video. It will be my first time travelling to Japan and alone so definitely feels daunting but I'm looking forward to it!
In Japan, there are places where tattoos are prohibited in public bathhouses and swimming pools because of the image of "tattoo = yakuza" among some old-fashioned people. Few young people have these ideas, but for some reason this rule remains. Very strange.
I am so shocked at the affordability of food in Japan! We're in a very undesirable state in the Bible Belt of the US and the prices here are the same or more than Colorado and New York. It's so crazy @_@

$2.89 for that meal. Over here in NA now you basically get a ketchup packet from McDonalds for that sum. Yeah I exaggerated, but without a doubt it would have cost a minimum of $12 and likely over $20.

It's too claustrophobic for me. Also, I am disabled. I'd be okay in a Love Hotel. The R9 might work for me, because everything is in one room: desk, microwave, fridge and restroom. I would have to negotiate the stairs and buy my food in advance for dinner and breakfast.
Honestly if I was visiting and stayed there or one of these capsule hotels, I’d need to use the private shower as the etiquette of public Japanese bath and public bath in general is something I dont get as an American. For those I would rather the pricey hotels with private spa baths. Even being a veteran and having taken showers with other guys in basic, that was then and now I like my privacy lol.

EARPLUGS RULE! Never sleep without them, so helpful! Lovely hotel, so many amenities too!
Absolutely yes!
Earplugs are a must, especially in capsule hotels!
Listening to white noise via earbuds is also a must as well.
I don't think I could wear earplugs if I couldn't lock the door.

These days, the price of hotels in Japan is getting higher and higher 😭
@@zensolotravel yes i also noticed that! almost or mostly double!
As i remembered it was $3000 yen per night in 2019. For the one you posted, now is $4500 yen/night for weekday, weekend price is even higher.

Thank you for showing bath guide rules that was a first… very informative as I had always been curious about the general guidelines. 👍
It's hard to know the rules of bathing because no one tells us!
