Hi guys. Let's continue the chat! Here is the link to part 2! th-cam.com/video/AW8m7bXYTV8/w-d-xo.html
Love the bloopers!! I can't get enough of them.
Oh haha!!! I'm glad someone likes them! 😂😂
Thank you, Carrie and Cindy. As someone who is legally blind, I found myself saying "Yes, I agree" so many times during your discussion. Carrie, I am already a subscriber to your channel. Cindy, I just subscribed to yours. I am now going to watch Part Two of this discussion. Looking forward to it.
Hi Peter. Yes, I think we all go through similar challenges and can really empathize with each other on a lot of points. :) I hope you find part two just as interesting and relatable!
Thank you so much for all the details~ love knowing what works and what doesn't for you! From a sited and disabled accessibility consultant
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad that we could share and thank you for the work you do!
WOW!!!!!!******* I Love Accessibility Anywhere, but in general, we need more Inclusion; especially in Employment… Because it is more important than ever before!!!**** 😊😅
Very true. The work force is definitely a place where accessibility and inclusion can be improved. There's a huge barrier of people's mindset and hopefully as time goes on, people will understand that just because we're blind, doesn't mean that we're not able.
I really struggle with the self-checkouts at supermarkets and other places. they talk, but they are still not accessible if you're totally blind.
They talk? I've never heard that.
@@carrieonaccessibility The self-checkouts at my local stop&shop talk, but not the one at Wal-Mart. Also, if you want to use Apple pay or Google Pay you have to press buttons on the machine after paying with your phone. There is no screen reader for navigating the self-checkout. I remember there was this big lawsuit where in which a few blind folks sued their local Wal-Mart because the self-checkouts were not accessible. The Wal-Mart won the lawsuit because the court ruled that blind people could just ask customer service for help with the self-checkout. It was unbelievable.
:)
Hey girl! This was such a great video! Just subscribed to your channel. I look forward to watching your videos to get some tips. I also have a TH-cam channel that I started a few months ago and I talk motherhood, cleaning, organizing, homeschooling and more. I have never disclosed that I have a visual impairment since it has not been relevant to my channel but I have debated on mentioning it. Hopefully were able to connect.😀
Hey! NIce to meet another homeschooling mom! woohoo! 👏 It's great to meet you and I'll go check your channel out! :) Oh my goodness... you already have everything ready for Easter... uh... I guess I need to figure that out now! haha!!
@@carrieonaccessibility that’s awesome! Do you Homeschool as well? If so, I have not met anyone else that homeschools who is blind/low vision like myself so that is awesome!!
I sure do! :-) my sister is also visually impaired and she homeschools. She's the reason why I do!
Hi Carrie can I get theyour email please
