  • The Malacca Strait is a narrow strip of water in South East Asia. It is one of the most important shipping routes in the world. But it's also a source of tension in the region, and could be a weak spot for China.

yes it is one of china's weakest point. Singapore and US forces are just nearby, India could easily choke off that point to prevent chinese ships to bring in fuel from the middle east and for chinese ships to export their goods. BUT china with the help of thailand is set to build an alternative route. The new route will cut across thailand in the middle. Total cost is somewhere $20-30b which china may finance the construction. China is also building a new railway that connects china to myanmmar ports and therfore bypasses the malacca strait.

China has for a decade anticipated this and have been working on a number of alternative trade routes all through countries that are either friendly or allies of China. Given China’s current monopoly over processing rare earths and US and the West dependancy on these to support their military industrial complex how sustainable is a long term war with China. In any case I suspect the war fought will be over economics, business, trade and technology. The world can now watch to see if the claims by western media that China cannot invent or innovate are true. If they are true the west has nothing to worry about. If untrue the west has already lost the economic and technology war. And countries in the global south will prefer to side with winners. A powerful China will learn from the mistakes of the US and the west and will have a deliberate policy of non interference and push for a multipolar world. (Us and western adventures in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya have led to disastrous results of failed states). China will be left wing socialist not communist as they have already discarded marxists ideology on class struggle focusing on national and global development and alleviation of poverty.🤔

The US is making every predictable move that China already expect including coercing PH, TW, JP, India etc. China would not openly defy the US unless they already know it’ll be checkmate in 2 moves

Strong India will influence Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific security with Australia, Japan and Sokor. Hoping all ASEAN members will think not only the Philippines will resist the Chinese illegal expansion. They will be next marching to their doorstep.

The official Stand for Malaysia is that Malaysia recognises Taiwan as a part of China. The legitimate Government of all of China including Taiwan is in Beijing. That is why the Taiwanese dissidents were sent back to Beijing and not Taipei.
