Around the 20 minute mark, when you saved that outsider:
Each generation is allowed 6 monkeys. You will periodically come across rogue monkeys who have a specific need to fill. (Thirst, poison, hunger, fear,etc)
Their body language will hint at what they need to fix their issue.
A precious stone can bypass this mechanic and they will automatically join your clan once you give them the stone.

I tried to give a precious stone to an outsider yesterday and it didn't work but he also disappeared when he got out of view. Probably bugged
Those elephant bones you found are from a species of elephant known as palaeoloxodon, to put it simply: the biggest elephant that has ever lived. It was 13-14 feet tall and weighed around 24 thousand pounds
If they are the creators put them in the wrong era. Right now Fooster is with A. Ramidus which existed 4.4 million years ago in the Early Pliocene. Palaeoloxodon, specifically the African species, didn’t show up until 4 million years ago in the Middle Pliocene.
They probably lay eggs too🤣

@@fightingfaerie In all fairness discovering certain things in the game makes you jump forward in evolution ex. “You’re evolving 500,000 years before science!” Which, by your own testament would put him in the correct time period to find skeletal remains of a few.

You just gotta get used to it. Timing is everything.
lol he literally says something like "this is harder than it looks" several times per episode. But to be totally fair, the game absolutely does not tell you anything, which is part of the charm. It will take a LOT of patience but it is such a unique experience that I can't recommend it enough.

You know when this game first came out and everyone was playing it I wasn’t the slightest bit interested, but I saw foster upload the first video and decided to give it a go and I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat for uploads ever since 😂

Loving these episodes the echo in the caves/canyons is some good editing keep up the good content
The thornbushes can be used to make thornbush barriers. They're basically a defensive structure. You have to stockpile some of them to do it but not sure what the real use is, considering you're hardly on the defense at your settlements
Just bought this on sale for under 10 bucks because of your videos highly entertaining and such a unique game.
Wow. I haven't got many hours of gameplay on this game yet. So to see them look and act so human-like is sooo cool. I can't wait to get evolved to this point.
I love this series! Just want to make a suggestion though: you should stockpile the basalt rocks and have everyone make choppers so you can stockpile a bunch of sharp sticks before you head out. Makes it easier than making enough for everyone individually, even if the process is a little clunky with the order mimic mechanic.
I usually just steal one of the finished items to add to my pile before I tell the group to mimic it.
I am absolutely obsessed with this series, I can’t wait for these videos. Keep them coming my man.

Huge spoiler, but you don’t have to have the stick in their right hand to counter attack with…it can be in their or your own left hand and you’ll use the tool to counter attack with. Hopefully that reduces the stress when traveling with your troop.

You can give your clan members some bones rather than sticks. You dont need to refill them since the bone clubs will never break and wont be lost after countering an animal attack.
An otter would have been much harder to fight irl. My hunting dogs tangled with an otter, and it wooped all three of my 50 plus pound hounds that normally take on full grown wild boar. It was like a little furry ninja. The dogs all required stitches and learned to never mess with an otter.
have you tried lashing a sharpened rock to a stick (or 2)? place them in a pile on the ground for the larger item crafting... like you do with beds?

I would be so happy if you managed to put these episodes out more often. I find myself going to your channel almost daily to see if I missed an episode being released... also my phone now recognizes fooster as a word in predictive text

Desert melons look a lot like the melons we know, but they're pretty much all the crunchy, white, sort of bitter part and, as far as i know, no sweet flesh. Very good for water, though.

Love the video fooster, quick tip, you MAY find a useful ability if you hold right trigger (if you’re on controller) and run at the same time :) you may just move around without needing to jump a lot.
Oh, I really love the little touch at 30:04 when you're swimming, the 2nd baby (usually clutching to your chest) has climbed onto your back with the other one so s/he doesn't drown! They're so good at little details in this game!

When you released the first video of this gameplay i thought this is the one series i never going to watch cause its not in my interest... But yesterday i was bored and watched the first.. and the second an suddenly i watched all vids in one go!! Yep elephant graveyard, was probably there main water hole when traveling place to place and from a food source and it dried up. RIP elephants.

Your clan generally has to be facing your opponent or they won't defend themselves. Hence why they wouldn't attack the tiger back in the start of your video.

Keeps saying how huge everything is. Prehistoric animals were big but I think you’re overestimating how big your apes are.
Ardipithecus ramidus, the species you’ve evolved up to, was about 4 ft tall.
Is there a way to create fire in this? Maybe hitting a meteorite and a basalt rock together for sparks?
No unfortunately there is no way to create fire in this game, it's about the only thing that's missing but I think it's only because it's realistic to the time period
It’s easier to just bring 1 or 2 with u not the whole gang. Then u can carry all the kids and it’s not to much. Also u can scare away most things when u have more of you together

@@YoloMoto16 The thing about this game is, you unlock neurons by doing actions, but if you deplet the neural energy a task gives, then you need to skip a generation to continue evolving that.
Like, you eat meat before being omnivorous, you get neural energy, but if you do that before being able to unlock the neurons, ypu will need to skip generation to reset it and be able to learn it

One more tip ma man, when you're in troop mode with your clan using the instigation/provoke make all the apes yellin against animals of every kind and this keeps them away almost every time!!! So when u see the orange indicator bottom left if u instant yell 99% of the time u spook them away

Dude, I love all your videos. I recently discovered this game and wanted to watch some gameplay and you were the first to pop up and instantly loved it. I made sure I dropped a sub. Been downloading your videos to watch them at work. Hope that actually helps your page too. I want to see you succeed more.
is it possible to go different paths when evolving? like is it possible to have different creatures in the end or will it always result in the same creature in the end?

Useful thing I finally realized on my second playthrough lol... with a quick glance at the circle in the lower right, you can see how many of your tribe have genetic mutations. Whether baby, adult, or elder, genetic mutations light up with that larger orange glow around the dot.
If you leave the spear in their LEFT hand, you can still make them eat and drink and they will protect themselves when attacked. You DON’T have to keep switching hands or making them drop the spear. A successful defense, as in instead of being grounded or ran over, seems to be RNG. At least based on while I’m playing.
