I don’t think the name originally comes from Arabic though, because it is an island and isn’t between two seas. The name makes no sense.
It’s probably from a similar semitic language that was spoken in Bahrain long time ago, like Assyrian or Akkadian or Sumerian.

Ah the luxury of the bridge. Back in 1980 there was only Gulf air to travel from Al Khobar to Bahrain - unless……
I had arranged for our 15 year old Daughter to fly Concorde to Bahrain on the day after My wife and I were to fly in from Saudi. I got bumped off my evening flight, but managed a counter bribe to get my wife reinstated. As all flights were booked it was time to think out of the box. Next morning, 6 am I went to the Port where the fishing and sailing Dhows berthed, found one which was taking passengers to Bahrain. Bought a ticket and waited until the ‘Captain’ had enough passengers to make the trip. Flat deck boat, no cover from the blistering sun, squatting alongside fellow passengers who chose this method of transportation (I am being polite here). Halfway to Bahrain the ‘Captain’ announced he was going to turn back unless we all paid him additional fare to continue. Being the only Khawager on board the other passengers looked to me for guidance. They got it, I told the ‘Captain’ that if he wished to return then he could swim for it, as we rather outnumbered him - we continued on our course. Fate then took a hand, as we sweltered in the steamy heat a single cloud appeared overhead, a thundercloud, we were immersed in a 5 minute downpour, now it was us who were steaming. The ‘Captain’ had the last laugh, instead of berthing he went alongside the outside of the harbour wall, we had to jump to cling onto the rocks and haul ourselves up. My ‘cruise’ had taken nearly 4 hours, which was longer than the Concorde flight our Daughter had taken - and she had sat and chatted with a rather well known ‘pop’ group, ‘the 3 degrees’!

How are you doing mrs molly and mr Matt . Iam Arabic lady Saudi citizen and subscriber to several British and American TH-cam channels. Actually since 1986 there are connected my homeland Saudi Arabia and Bahrain by King Fahd Causeway, before that date we travel by plane . We in eastern province near Kuwait is very near to us takes only two hours road trip . We in gulf area as Kuwait , Oman , Bahrain, Oman , uae , Qatar have similar accents and traditions and costumes and recipes. Same of Saudi citizens study at Bahrain universities and seek medical treatment too and for tourism too . Actually I considered internet as great opportunity for people to improve their English and learn new information and make friendships with people from different countries. I hope you have great time at Bahrain . Bon voyage best wishes for your dearest ones .

      Ya! 👍🏻
      I already know it!
As I said previously in my previous comment before.... The GCC Arab countries policies all around the same way, due to cultural heritage, cultural reasons... Their people, DNA blood race , culture, language, politics, economy, monetary system, laws and religion, etc..., it's all around the same!!
I know Khallijiya, because I've been there already for vacations and even my close friends are themselves Saudi w Khalliji 🇸🇦, so, ya, I quit know them well 👍🏻
Btw.... I speak Arabic (Saudi w Khalliji dialect), so again, ya, I do know Khallijiya quit well actually !!!!!!!

14 First of all, keep in mind that the interpretation of a dream or a vision is received through a gift; it must not come from our intelligence. It was through a gift that Joseph interpreted dreams in Genesis 40 and Genesis 41. And it was by a gift that Daniel interpreted the dreams and visions of Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar. I'm going to talk here about the different methods of interpretation. I have divided them into three parts. First, there is the standard method. Then, there are the gifts. And finally, there is the perfect will.
