its not really a nerf if you know how to play guile....1st off good guile players barely ever use reverse upside down kick unless the opponent likes to tech throws..2nd the vt1 thing is so that people cant over use his new combos with the baby boom(if you use a normal boom 1st then the second one doesnt use extra meter. that only applies to if you use the baby boom 1st) but everything else is the same and the meter gain for opponents is really not a big difference because only people who just sit there and throw booms all day will not like that but if you know how to fight with guile then this is pointless. to me personally he got buffed with the new vtrigger options

Luke was already above Guile and he got buffs, changing the economy of his Booms makes the MU just change, some Mu where his advantage is his zoning and chips would be even less viable.

If you've been paying attention to what Daigo says, the chance of him dropping Guile is almost zero.

Guile players complaint of their former top 5 character now *just* being top 15 out of 45, and he can't catch a break, is laughable. Gief, Fang, Blanka, Alex, Lucia, Ed, Falke, Juri and Vega mains would give an eye and a limb to be top 15.

True but I think the flash kick buff of VT2 is solid because you no longer have to do crouch attacks to get the kick in and doing the double at the end and juggling can lead to some solid damage albeit at the expense of both CA and V bar

Boom cancel into VT2 was already tried and the result was every Guile main picking VT2.

A slight nerf in the jump and VT1 but got buff VT2. Guile is still strong and Daigo + Higuchi will stick to him.

After the nightmare he was in s2 I always felt like they balanced guile well. Seems that's still the case.
