The Conduit/Zohar of Xenoblade and Xeno Saga. They could just say that Klaus' experiments affected the entire multiverse, erasing or moving the various Earths between dimensions. The only thing that doesn't line up is that Xenoblade 1/2 took eons between the destruction of Earth as we knew it and the death of Klaus/Zanza. But if Planet Mira is a time loop paradoxical existence like Aionios, then it could be explained that Everyone there is trapped in a purgatory like existence until XBX2 where they find a way to break the cycle around the time that time starts back up and the first 2 worlds split, reunite.
They will most likely not put in any real effort at all. If there is some major contradiction in X that will mess with X2 trying to connect, then they will just ignore it. Just like how DE does not depict what canonically happens(From Shulk's reaction in FR, we know Alvis had to have shown him the correct version of events)
I feel like people never dig past the intro cutscene and jump straight to its all one universe which doesnt work well, even excluding the xenosaga stuff. Like X has the whole mystery based around the samarians who are heavily implied to be humans flung over from another universe which is very possible given the explanations from the end of xenoblade 2. The whole xenosaga vs X debate was always dumb to me. There's an obvious way for both to work with no retcons for x or the main games. X was always a spin off so not being in the same earth as the main series doesnt detract from its story and even then the nopon are implied to be from bionis and theres a telethia so Mira is still connected in its own way.
That wouldn't be the first time Monolith Soft have done something like this. For the ones who don't know, during the 2000s, when they were still working for Bandai Namco on the Xenosaga series, they released a animated series based on Xenosaga to explain some story elements. So this is fairly likely that Monolith Soft would do that again and Takahashi said we should expect something different for the future of Xenoblade Chronicles. So this is clearly something along those lines.
Oh I can see it happening. I watched a video on Xenogears mentioning that for a certain hypothetical entry (the one in the period which the past lives of Fei and Elly are a part of a late 20th/early 21st century civilization on the planet the Xenogears game is set on) there is debate about if that entry was going to be a game or a tv show due to the nature of Fei’s past life being a scientist not a warrior which would have created difficulties coming up with gameplay if that entry was going to be a video game. So I do think we are getting an anime but what the focus it will be I’m not certain whether it’s going to be a retelling of past Xenoblade games or it’s going to give more backstory to the mysteries that still linger.
I'd say a lot of studios could do well, but oddly one that gave Xenoblade vibes animation wise were that one Harry Potter inspired anime, not Mashle....uh, lemme look it up. wistoria wand and sword, from Actas and Bandai apparently.

I thought that too. 🧐. That both klaus’ experiment and the aliens battle above earth were happening near the same time or at the same time. Before earth was destroyed completely or something he activated his experiment or klaus in his crazy mind saw that aliens were coming to earth which gave him more reason to activate his experiment. Something like that anyway. I think they will link the games to something like that. I do also think xenosaga will be referenced again and probably link to xenoblade in my opinion but I can’t say how yet. Future redeemed I believe is the beginning of them connecting to xenosaga in some way. Just my 2 cents on this.
One of Bandai’s studios would probably be the best, dunno which studios still have the chops to animate mecha which are very important to the franchise Could expand into CG studios and thus could get Graphinica, Studio Orange… whoever is working on the new Expelled from Paradise and Aquarion anime maybe

Part of me thinks that the Xenoblade anime isn't gonna be like a 25 minute 12 episode series. If anything I think it'll be similar to the pokemon animes we've been getting on youtube. Where they're either stand alone animations or a small mini series. That's what I think it might end up being.
The better question is *why* would they retcon X into the mainline series, when they can keep it as it’s own thing with its own identity that exists in its own pocket of the Xeno multiverse, with only loose references between the two. Xenosaga and Xenoblade X also aren’t compatible and (spoilers) Future Redeemed explicitly also mentions and ties in elements of Xenosaga, in a much bigger way than the X references. Xenosaga and X cannot be reconciled no matter how you slice it.
Agree, I want Xeno have two major entities that doesn't have connection or whatever. I as a fans will have two blades that have their own unique. If you want to play open world game that the story is just there play xbc x but if you wanted rpg that have a deep lore linier story play xbc 1/2/3
I think it makes sense to connect them. I think it would also make sense for them to eventually try and connect Saga and Gears at some point too. Nintendo has a good relationship with everyone involved in those games... It may be worth the investment.

In Japan, it’s called Xenoblade Cross. The X is meant to represent the intersection of people playing online. Pretty sure the Iwata Asks from the WiiU release talked about it. The NoA press release said this is a standalone game. I don’t think they’re gonna retcon this into the main trilogy.

That’s why the marketing is using the same language as the game’s original release in 2015 talking about intersections because it’s still online. It’s not crossing over with the main trilogy.

A Xenoblade anime series as a flagship release for a potential Nintendo streaming service is beyond cope. It's just not a series with that much customer draw overall, nowhere near the level of a good number of other Nintendo series. The entire Xenoblade series has only just sold a little more than just Nier Automata, a game that only very recently got an anime as well.
The biggest problem with the retcon is that Future Redeemed _also_ explicitly tied the series into _Xenosaga_ either explicitly or the events of it are canon to blade even if blade is not canon to saga. The problem with this is... _avoiding spoilers here_ ...multiple major factions and people in X were impossible to exist in saga. There might be ways to pull it off, but I can't see how myself. Now the whole anime thing, and possible streaming service also possibly leaked...I have been saying anime needs this for a while. A major competitor to step up and prevent the growing (outside of Pokemon) monopoly in the anime industry that has a massive IP catelog. Who better than Nintendo?
Unless they retcon the very beginning where we can see the beanstalk and Earth vanishing before it explodes, I don't see any meaningful connection between Future Redeemed's Exodus space program and the one we see in X. Because in XC1 and 2 (and 3), Earth didn't explode, nor was there a gian space battle between aliens before Klaus hit the button and started the experiment. The experiment is absent in X.
X's whole opening cutscene and world view is told by Lin who is referencing the government, you know the same ones that lied about almost the entirety of X's storyline. In other words, the opening cutscene is more than likely misinformation to make you believe that New LA is the only remnants of Earth.
@@jongentile4933 I could imagine, since we see an object hurdling towards a unified/merged Earth at the end of Future Redeemed, that that is Elma arriving, warning Earth, etc. pp. That'd be an unsatisfying end for the cast of XC1-3 though, since they either got away on a ship (which most of got destroyed as the narration told us IIRC) or exploded with earth. So, I doubt the backstory of X is post XC3 Future Redeemed, but it's possible.
