Literally an item in the game that straight up tells you how and when to parry him....its called Blasphemous Claw, his sword glows bright yellow whenever he is about to do a parryable attack. You probably picked it up in your playthrough at some point.

But I hear ya, time has become convoluted since the pandemic, kinda like things are in the souls series. I've been playing in bits, a month on, a couple months off, back and forth. Now right at the end, doing a 100% run, or as close as you can get in a single PT.

I beat eldin ring 5 times last year and almost platinumed it and the game came out over a year ago so it definitely brings back old memories. Just cause new players are starting to play the game now doesn’t mean it ain’t old. It just feels like a long time since eldin ring to me cause after that I went on to beat almost all the souls games in a 2 month span. I even bought a damn ps5 for demon souls. And just a few days ago I got back into blood borne and beat that. The reason I say this brings back memories is because the whole souls genre was a big part of summer last year and that first play through of eldin ring was literally my favorite game of all time. Also for time reference I played the souls games at the end of 8th grade and now I’m bout to be a sophomore in highschool so it just feels like along time yk what I mean?
On a katana build, I don`t focus on blood loss. I just see it as a bonus. There are better weapons/builds options if you want bleed. Also the fire bonus Bloodflame Blade gives you should not be overlooked and it stacks with the Flame tear.
Who cares? Rivers sucks balls, you just saw someone melt all main bosses in less than 40 seconds each and you are asking about which katana is better? At thos point, does it matter? You win the game, no room for improvement, just L2 all day every day, easiest shit in the world.

@@zambekiller It depends on your stats but also on your build. With katanas I like to play for consecutive hits with Double Slash or for stance break with Unsheathe. The build I used in this clip is based on consecutive hits. See 07:29 for the build. Replace Red Feathered with Ritual Sword if you play on max HP.
@Downshifting07 totally. It makes for a lot more connected hits which in turn is higher dps. It's cool there are still trade offs between the blades. That level of detail is insane, a long naginata blade would indeed be harder to handle, and in a way less lethal than a master of a shorter blade.
I was told that Nagakiba always outclassed the Uchigatana at some point. FightinCowboy mentions it a couple times in his guide, although that's probably not a very good reference or source of information. But in my mage build, where I infused both with magic, the Uchigatana was significantly stronger in terms of damage output, as well as having much lower wielding requirements and a good deal lighter. I'm not sure about other builds that rely on infusing weapons, but for me, the Uchigatana was just better in every way, except for range, but that's it.
Yes, I do agree. Uchigatana has more AR all the way. I`m on max stats and I show in the vid at 07:13 that it has more AR than the Nagakiba. So there`s really no point at which Naga becomes better.

I'm pretty sure the Naga is the clone of the Washing Pole from the souls series, which was basically the Uchi but with more range and higher stat requirements and weight. It's odd, you would think with the higher requirements and greater weight, the Naga would out damage the Uchi. Also you need to consider the Naga takes much longer time to acquire, you can easily be powerstancing dual Uchi by the time you get the Naga. I wonder if the Naga was nerfed in one of the patches. Maybe it was a better weapon at launch? I dunno. But class video mate.

Previous soulsgame balanced the washing pole by making it slower but they just didn't care in elden ring. That being said uchi does have higher damage so it's really personal preference when it comes to PVE. However for PVP it's no doubt the best katana with that absurd reach and poke R2.
I have so many stat points that I have to invest them in something, even if they aren`t useful. 60 vigor helps in-between bosses, to not die to some random mob, but that`s about it.
I can't believe that levelling to 500+ with maxed out damage stays, and stacking every conceivable buff and spamming L2 = Me Stronk. I love how people genuinely find this information informative xD. Gg though, I can tell you are a decent player regardless! You've got Souls Cake
This is not even close to "stacking every conceivable buff". I use GV, Howl and Bloodflame Blade. Pretty standard stuff which is available at 35 Faith. Sure, I also use the Red Feathered, but at the cost of being one shot all the time. If you play at max HP, then simply replace Red Feathered with Ritual Sword. You will only lose 10% in dmg. Yeah the relevant stats are maxed out, but don`t forget 80 is the second soft cap. I would assume if you are at NG+7, you can afford at least 80 points in the relevant three or four stats. Regardless, this build works very well even at 60 for every relevant stat.

It has lower AR. Not by much, but for a build centered on consecutive hits, it is noticeable.
