This is for dirt mapping. For colors and what not you want the template tutorial and then when its created just make it transparent in the ytd texture file for it.
when I do this it says Can apply on polygons level only. file:bymaterial.cpp line:282 fixed by going in polygon mode... but now? Can detach everything only in 'Keep Original' mode. file:detach.cpp line:493
3 years later, still relevant and working perfectly if you follow the steps as shown, thanks!
You are welcome!
How do I attach them back to the car??
You create them and then attach the sides back onto the name of the panel they come from "Door D Side, Bodyshell, etc.)
@@SocalThero Hmm odd, I go to put it in game and the old dirt map is on the vehicle. The new pannels do not have the dirt map...
I did everything according to the video. But the color of the car does not change in the game.
How do I solve?

If you only have a paint job you can't detach it as there is no other materials assigned so you would just do the mapping and not detach it.
After that how do I save the progress? Or what happens next?
After your done just save the z3d file and then your done.
How i disable the full dirtmap ?
Put a blank texture in its place
