With her bandmate in The Highwomen, Brandi Carlisle setting the music world on fire by performing with Joni Mitchell at the Newport Folk Festival yesterday, there's plenty to talk about. I love Amanda's voice, both singing and speaking, the interview was well done. I love how honest and open Amanda is. I love her singing voice, it's so unique and wonderful. I've been working on trying to perfect her warble, it's just brilliant. She's also inspired me to take up the fiddle.

IMO there is such pressure on Amanda just because she’s a talented woman in a man’s world.
I see the stress in her and I wish she could just be herself. She’s way too talented to have to meet someone’s expectations.
She is an amazing painter and I hope some day she can just create without the pressure to be a caricature
