@@cerdaspediaindonesia8926yeah it was very popular here in Ghana
It would also be a huge success in India if it was dubbed in Hindi and Explicit scenes were cut
Marimar wanted her father to sign some rights to manage the business in Enchanted Valley, not to own his money. And he didn't fall sick from nowhere, he had the heart condition for years.
True, otherwise the rights were going to his partner, who was already managing the business real bad at that point.
@@LilithScarlette Yeah, keeping all the money for himself hahaha.
When they say “from nowhere” they mean in the context of the show. There was no story here about the dad being sick, it just all of a sudden came about, then there’s an explanation about having it for years, but the plot device came “from nowhere”.
This is a true fan!
I used to watch Marimar with my abuelita. 😂
This is my favorite thing on the internet
3:37 "Guess who Marimar bumps into while being out on a DATE with her dad at the opera? Yep, her SHAG-CARPET-CHESTED husband!"
I had to rewind that part many times :D
“so many bitchy eyerolls that you’ll need medicine to get through this telenovela” 😂😂😂
Lol
That bracelet in the mud was iconic here in the Philippines 😂
The fact that they gave a dog an internal voice sent me! 💀💀💀
Oh, I'll take a Xanax to get through it regardless. But I'll definitely tell everyone you've enabled me.
Ahhh my childhoon in 6 mins. I could still remember the Tagalog dubbing 😂
Shenn Rockwell
Lol
You forgot about the chicken Macha , how they kill her to make chicken soup and Marimar almost ate the soup , that was tragic 😢😢😢😢😢😢
she ate it, and say something along the line of Macha lo hubiera preferido asi
Hhahahaha
I was a small girl when I first saw that scene. I still remember feeling absolutely livid over the death of that chicken.
You forgot a couple of important facts. The abuelitos were burn alive by the evil foreman :(
And the poor chicken is killed by a maid once she moves to the city. The most tragic thing is Marimar noticed they murder her chicken cause they made it soup. 😭
The chicken got killed by a maid that used to assist the priest, it happened before she left to the city 🤣🤣🤣 the chicken was named Macha
poor chicken 🤣
Others: Oh no!
Me: Dios Mio Marimar!
These videos give me life😂
Marejoy Gotgot it’s “pasu mecha Marimar!” But it’s cool that you try 😊
@@voratos5768 i don't really speak spanish but growing up in the Philippines when Marimar got famous my parents and almost everyone uses that term so I kinda got used to it. Hahaha I keep hearing it til now. Marimar is kinda immortalized here.
Followed by “Marímar,” of course
Yeah "Dios Mio, Marimar" has become a Filipino expression XD
"Things seem chill now, so obviously we know tragedy is about to strike"
Telenovelas in a nutshell 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Marimar used to be so big here in Kenya..everyone was talking about it!
Wow, really?
I dont know if this makes me feel embarrassed or proud.
In Indonesia too! Everyone older than me know Marimar so when I see this video I just wanna know what they talked about 😁
Marimar was huge in the Philippines, it has become part of our history and culture. Husbands would come home early after work instead of drinking out with friends just to watch this show.
It even have a Filipino Version which Marian Rivera become very famous at that time!
As a mexican, I apologize so much
You guys just adored her greatly, I find. There are documentaries of her visiting your country and she was greeted like a head of state, more welcome than some actual heads of states, I'd wager.
Don't apologize, we love Thalia. We should thank you instead.
@@victorm2180
You apologize about the fact that thalia cured alcoholism??

Mexican citizens get ashamed from the good stuff that their country gives
Dude... i just realize that Marimar is the mexican version of The Count of Montecristo!
Out of curiosity, can you explain why?
@@melissalopez154 marimar's life was going well and dandy. But some hater player mfs destroyed her life, put her on prison, and everything goes to shit, then she goes out of yell, she becomes insanly rich after an old dude dies, and gets revenge in all the MF who destroyed her life and lives happy and well afterwards.
@@fernandomontenegro404 Holly shit, you are right.
@@andresbarriga5305 Montenegro explaining Montecristo is satisfying for some reason.
Kind of, but not really. It's just a typical revenge story, not all of those are supposed replicate the count of montecristo.
Dantes was never really poor, he had a career, a fiancee and a best friend (who betrayed him), after losing everything he found a pirate treasure and changed his identity to the count to seek his revenge. So, none of that is in Marimar.
Chest hair must have been a trend
A symbol of masculinity. I don't know if it still is though
@@bluesailormercury some places, yes!
Even in the USA, some men think that losing chest hair is like losing manliness, and is "gay". So yeah....I hope this helps.

That plane though.. it landed safely and then somehow crashed. lmao 😂

I was hooked on Marimar. The reason why I'm so melodramatic.

Forgot the part that Sergio never worked. 😂😂He was looking for a sugar momma🤦
This is the ultimate telenovela of my childhood.. Freaks rushed home early to watch this back in the Philippines 😍
yummypocster OMG, 😂 I thought we only did that in West Africa. The only telenovela my dad watched and he would call to ask us to tape it on VCR just in case he didn’t come home early enough 😂. People were robbed during that show, they knew most people would be watching tv and not paying attention. Marimar broke some countries!
Was this telenovela remade, twice, in your country?
@@JamieMurphy25 It's true. I mean I like Marimar and I appreciate that the makers want to modify some things to make the original more appealing. Unfortunately, I find the remakes really annoying. I choose the original anyday
You forgot when they cooked the poor chicken by mistake girl! That’s the saddest part of it. 😂👍🏽
That mud scene is iconic
it was once a hit in my country Indonesia and every evening my grandma would watch it and would keep the remote control right beside her but I don't remember the story was this hilarious
Once you get through the most iconic telenovelas y'all should do some of the children's telenovelas cause those were amazing as well lmao
This show is my childhood. Watched it when I was around 3 years old with my sister and mom each time she came back from work and we would be singing and dancing on the intro song. Gosh I miss that time.
This video gives me 5-year-old me watching Marimar re-runs at 4pm energy
Marimar grandparents died in fire and her husband left her to join the soccer team- most dramatic events 😁😂🤣
Poor chicken- why does she have to die. She was just walking around 😢😢😢
I never knew this kind of art existed. It's genius.
Damn. Thalia couldn’t catch a break during the 90s with these damn novelas.
You did Marimar but didn’t mention the Sopa de Gallina scene?! Tragic.
V B So, the maid at the house she’s living at decides to make chicken soup and wants to use Marimar’s pet chicken, but the talking dog tries to stop her. This doesn’t work, and she makes chicken soup. At dinner, everyone is complimenting the maid on her cooking, dramatic zooms into the soup and everything. Then, Marimar gets suspicious and starts looking for her chicken. The town priest (who is also there) yells at the maid to say what did she use to cook the soup, and the maid cries and says it was the chicken that was in the house. Marimar goes apeshit and starts saying that she doesn’t want to live anymore because everyone she loves leaves her.
@@dianamontserrat OMG
0:47 Someone give that dog an Emmy.
Finally! The Maria Trilogy is now complete!!
As a latin expert on telenovelas, please please do a Telenovelas Are Hell for these titles, they have really good laughing material: "La Madrastra", "La Otra", "En Nombre del Amor" and "Mi Gorda Bella" (this last one is a venezuelan telenovela with the best slaps ever)
Hold up. Mi Gorda Bella sounds familiar to me. Is it about a skinny girl who pretends to be fat and for some reason gets a man?
No, it´s about a fat girl, who then loses weight after thinking her significant other was poisoning her, BUT IT WAS NOT!!! it was his mother who was poisoning her, and as it happens on most televenovelas, when she came back from Spain all skiny no one recognized her, and the leading guy was in a crossroad because he loved both the skinny girl and the fat girl, without noticing they were the same person (it really deserves a telenovelas are hell)
@@imjustlucy_29 Mi Gorda Bella is a Betty la Fea ripoff but with a fat girl instead.of an ugly girl.
