Glad you found this head. I have the exact same head - been using it for 6 years now with my 4400 combine and it's a good head. My suggestions would be make sure the chains get soaked in oil - the gathering chains and the chain on each outside. Also, there's a chain on the right side under the shielding that runs the auger. Get that one too. Let them soak, then run the machine gently at first to get things loosened up. Maybe repeat the process. Don't forget the gear boxes - need cornhead grease. The plugs are under the front of the augers. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
Glad you found a corn head! Yeah it's crazy how much different the price can be just from different locations. And even at auction it seems like things bring more now than they did a few years ago.
