- On this lesson, you will learn how to perform reflections over the x-axis and reflections over the y-axis (also known as across the x-axis and across the y-axis) and reflections over the line y=x.

+superchick1972 Thanks for the comment! The line of symmetry depends on the figure (how it is oriented and where it lies on the coordinate plane). If you can imagine the letter "A" with the top point touching the y-axis, then it's line of symmetry would be the vertical line x=0 (which is the y-axis). But, if you shifted it two units to the left (so that the x-coordinate of the point is -2), then the axis of symmetry would be x=-2. Does that help?
