Yay, you found a currently inked format that works for you! I like watching currently inked videos because I can get ideas on what kinds of inks to pair with my pens, especially after hearing your thoughts about the pairing. You showed a lot of fine nibs here and I primarily use fine nibs, so now I have some good ideas.
Hahaha, I’m glad we’re not alone in this! I have one pen friend who keeps all 100+ pens inked. She says she just cleans them when at some point they run out or dry out. I’ve never had a problem cleaning any pen, even if it’s been inked over a year! (Given, I don’t use permanent or iron gall inks or anything!)
I am 💯 with you on how many inked pans I have. I currently have 48-ish inked pens. I do rotate through them all using FPC, but sometimes I just want to use a specific pen or ink and so I’ll ink up a pen if it’s not inked. I love the whimsy of it which is part of why I love this hobby and collecting so many different pens. I like your idea of picking some faves from time to time and sharing those. That’s exactly how I’d do a currently inked. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the encouragement! I have one friend who keeps all of her 100+ pens inked, and only cleans them when absolutely necessary. So far nothing terrible has happened, haha. I feel like a few years ago it was frowned upon to not clean your pens regularly, but I am a bit of a rebel, and all my pens are fine!
This was so fun, I’m already looking forward to watching the next one! Please be off, inconsistent and do currently inked whenever in your way - that’s what I like to do as well 🥰🖋👩🏼🤝👩🏻💌 violette pensee is one of my favorites too and I MUST soon ink up a pen with smoky quartz. I used to have tons of pens inked up, but working my way down to a lower number right now, even more since my daughter just hinted with a flagpole that she got me the inkvent as an early Christmas gift. In regards to nibs I’m the opposite, I love these BB or even OBB nibs, they are good for my handwriting too. Happy weekend and happy writing - Dag 🍁 🍂
Thank you so much! I can imagine that if I were going to have the inkvent calendar, I would be whittling down my number of inked pens, too. Adding 25 more would be too many! lol! And, I used to almost exclusively use broad nibs. I don’t know what happened to me! My handwriting is a bit neater with a finer nib, but I’m not sure if that’s the reason I migrated to fine nibs. Extra fines are still a no-go, though!
Really enjoyed this video…. I love my Jinhao pens too and have quite a few. I love your Narvalur original, what a lovely pen, I think I need to search out a stunning blue pen 😀 x
Thank you! I love your currently inked videos. I only keep a few (3 or 4 at most) inked at one time! I love the combinations you have! Thank you for including the less expensive pens, my Jinhaos offer a good competition to their more expensive rivals and they are great to carry on the go. Here’s questions for you - 1) On this list are they bottled inks or do you have an array of samples? 2) How much does the name and the color of a product effect you purchasing decision? I’m guilty of purchasing pens/inks/ products because of a really catchy name! Example: Jinhao Koi - the colors are exactly those of a koi fish - just couldn’t resist! Thanks for another great video! God bless you!
Thank you so much! To answer your questions: the two Vanishing Points are inked with black cartridges, 7 or 8 others are inked from bottles, and the last 2 or 3 are from samples. I tend to go back to the same inks over and over quite a bit! And, I don’t think I have bought a pen just because I love the name, but I do enjoy it when a pen’s material and name go together perfectly! Thanks so much for watching! Take care! 💖
I love this format! I change pens based on my mood too. I started with 10 or 12 pens inked this month and I've been trying a bunch of 30Inks30Days inks so everything is different now. lol If I do another video on it, it can be a surprise. Love love love Nice Lavande, and I have Violette Pensee on my wishlist. Great lineup! And people are so generous. Love that three people got to win.
I love that three people got to win, too! When I did my 28 inks thing in February, I honestly mostly just used pens I already had inked. 😂 thanks friend!
ALL of my pens are inked, except one. Don't feel bad. I have the Violet Pensee 💜 ink. It's a nice ink, but I kind of wish it had shimmer, now. That's a nice long grip section on the Bonecrusher Velma. I have long fingers and a long hand and am becoming aware of how that affects my grip. I bought a Pelikan M800 on Fountain Pen Day, and it has a short section. I didn't realize that until I got ink all over my fingers and after checking out the pen, I realized that my fingertips were too close to the nib. I'm basically going to have to hold the threads.
Oh no! That’s good to know about the M800. You might like the Velma - I don’t know if you saw my unboxing, but the threads on the Velma feel almost nonexistent. It’s really incredible! Also, glad to know I’m not the only one who inks a ton of pens! 😊
Yep, I hate that I discovered how great it is so late. But, I guess I really don’t need a bunch of extra little pens, so it’s probably better this way!
"if you aren't using a Jinhao 82, what are you doing?" -Exactly! Love those pens, can't beat it for the price -not even close.
They’re so good!
My favorite is Jinhao 100 🎉
@@kathleenschmidt1489 100% yes! One of my best pens for sure.
I love that you found a way to share a currently inked without changing your system. I loved watching and spending some time with you!
Yay, thank you, Simone! 🥰
I love your handwriting! Thank you for sharing, you do you, boo - I’ll take a currently inked any day
Thanks so much, on both counts! 🥰

Thank you so much for saying that you have a lot of pens inked at the same time. ME TOO! Yay, I don't feel so bad now!

@@gingerpeachy I am that friend! I just don't have 100 pens YET. But I ink up pens as soon as i get them. 🖋🖋🖋🖋

how fun, can't wait to watch, but first, coffee !!
Yes to coffee!
Great assortment of pens and inks. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
I like this sharing of your currently inked pens format. You do have great pens and well chosen inks.
Happy new year!
Thank you for that encouragement! I plan on keeping up with these currently inked videos in the new year. Happy new year to you, too!

@@gingerpeachy interesting!! Sometimes I wonder why I even keep those fine nibbed pens, but you prove my point.. pen hoarding has a purpose!! 🤓😜
What fun to wash my pens while watching you play with yours!
Aw, fun! I have about 20 pens in my to-clean jar. I need you to make a yt video so I can watch it whilst cleaning, haha.

Prettiest nail polish color ever!
Thank you! I wish I could tell you what it is, but it’s a dip powder. Number 34 at my salon, haha!
Wow!
All of the Pen TH-cam personalities have all purchased that same green Vanishing Point. Taiwan 30th Anniversary.
😂😂 Karyna was chatting about it, and that’s what made me go look at it! I blame her entirely.
I'm sad that the Petit1 has gone out of production. What a great little cheapo pen. Sigh...
