Welcome back to my channel! This is my updated fountain pen collection! I'll share with you what brands I'm loving, what's new in my collection, my favorite pens and what I'm planning to sell! I hope you enjoy it! Let me know in the comment what you're writing with this week! xoxo Lori
You must try a Franklin-Christoph fountain pen, Model 02; Model 19; Model 31. So many nib options screw out nib units. Beautiful pens highest quantity and great company!
Yoseka got a matte forest green with gold accents in the vanishing point. Apparently it was a Taiwanese limited edition that Neil was able to get some stock through some connections
I agree with the Esterbrook and Ferris Wheel Press collaboration. I ended up selling mine because the colors were so bright. I was happy I found a good home for it.
For Twsbi, I recommend the "TWSBI Diamond 580 Fountain Pen - White RoseGold II." If you like full-sized or larger pens, don't go for the mini. For the full-sized version (it is not postable and much more enjoyable than the mini imo!).
Love your enthusiasm for FPs! Definitely get an Aurora! I have several of their pens (under $150), and I love them so much! Also, I am with you on wanting a Pelikan 800--it is my "Commemorate Retirement Pen" in 2025!
So happy to be apart of your collection!! Thank you so much for sharing and the shoutout!!! We hope to be adding a surprise pen to this collection soon!!! Side note, Olga is amazing!!!
You know I love my Zodiac pen and I'm SOO excited for what might be on the horizon! Thank you for your contribution to our community Bart! You're a true artist! And yes, Olga is amazing!
For the green VP, are you referring to the “PILOT VANISHING POINT LIMITED EDITION - TAIWAN 30TH ANNIVERSARY.” If so, Yoseka was selling it. As of 10/11, they’re sold out.
You are always so lovely and just a delight to spend (TH-cam) time with! Such a great trip through your beautiful collection and memories! What a sweet and thoughtful husband you have! Serious #couplesgoals with you two. I’d love to hear more about your experience with Morning Pages and how your fountain pens and inks have benefited that journey. Keep up the absolutely enjoyable work! 🖋️❤️
Thanks so much for this kind message! I would love to talk more about my morning pages. I just ordered Julia Cameron's book, The Artist's Way to learn more about morning pages. I'm excited to read it!
I like the looks of the Metropolitan, it's not boring to me at all. I think it has a classic and vintage look to it which is sleek and stunning at the same time
First time viewer here. Great to see your collection. We share some faves, incl Esterbrook & Lamy. 1 day in my lifetime I will inventory my extensive pen collection, incl non-fountain pens. I have also gifted a few pens to get others in the rabbit hole. I was so upset that I missed out on that Goulet Benu Cappuccino. Living in NYC, I frequent Fountain Pen Hospital, Goldspot and Goulet. I went to Atlas Stationery while on a summer trip to Chicago. In addition to a few pens, I also got some Ferris Wheel Press ink there.
My first, and only, gold nib pen is the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Tea Time Hallongrotta. It was definitely an expensive venture into gold nibs but I absolutely love it! I have a whole wish list of gold nib pens I was looking to buy but I haven't been able to bring myself to get them because I just don't feel as excited about them as I do about my Sailor. You have such a diverse collection, thanks for sharing.
I love seeing your whole collection, Lori! I remember when you unboxed your husband's Japan haul for you back in December and being really envious of you getting the Platinum 3776 Shape of Heart. However, after so many new pens coming out, I am able to not let the fomo of that pen get to me since I now know more about the kind of pens I like (color, girth, nib, etc.). I loved seeing all your Esterbrooks--they look so beautiful. It's a brand that's on my radar...and I was thinking about the nuveau blue, but still not sure yet!! The botanical gardens is definitely gorgeous and something along the lines of the crazy colors of my Leonardos. Your Sailor collection is what really made me super happy. I should do my very first Fountain Pen Collection video. I don't have one yet...this was great to see everything and how you had great stories to talk about each pen! :) And omg, your doggy
I love your Leonardo collection and the passion you share for your fountain pens! It's interesting what we end up being really drawn to, and what we'll invest in for our collection. I find that many "Leonardo" people enjoy Esties! There are always new releases and such beautiful pens everywhere we look! This hobby is really so much fun! Enjoy! Thanks so much for watching and for kind your message. Lumpy sends his love!!
My first Estie is also the botanical gardens (with an F nib) from the FP hospital in NYC as well back in May! I also now have about 5 Estie’s, 1 of which is a Lilac oversized with a Techo nib I picked up at the London pen show. My honeycomb has a journaler nib has KWZ Honey and I love the combo.
I had gotten the FWP Estie at launch too and mine was also very bright. But, when I opened it up, it was broken! The ring at the bottom of the cap was broken off. They sent me out a replacement pen and the new pen was much more muted and I love it so much! I’m actually really glad my first one came broken even though I was really disappointed when I opened it.
My first gold nib pen was a Pelikan M800 green stripe. And with it, I bought a bottle of Parker Penman Sapphire, so you can date it, if you like. A while back. I had a bunch of Pelikan 200s, and I asked a friend what was a good nice pen to but. I then went to the local pen store and tried it out. It was my only "nice" pen for a while.
I want a Sailor mini. I have the 1911 but I would love to find one in the color you have. I'm going to wait to see if I can go to the Chicago Pen Show or the St. Louis Pen Show next year. Maybe I can find one I want.
Nice collection. I had a Vintage 146 which I loved, I sold it to a coworker. I have one modern 149 which is nice, but I loved that 146. The largest part of my collection is Pelikan, great pens.
I hope you get another 146 some day. I'd love to try one. I finally purchased a Pelikan M800 (not sure if I had it when I posted this video). It's one of my favorites! I can see why Pelikan is a big part of your collection.
Funny about your Esterbrook x Ferris Wheel Press- I wanted one with all the bright colors and streaks and didn't get that. Only Esterbrook I've been disappointed in- and the price point doesn't help, lol!!
Hi Lori, if you haven’t sold Greta Garbo yet, I would love to purchase it! We are headed to New York for the very first time soon. I loved you video on the Fountain Pen Hospital, so we have to go! Happy Birthday to your Momma!
Hi Steph. I hope you have a wonderful time in NY! Here is the listing. I have best offer turned on www.ebay.com/itm/305164105051?hash=item470d32b55b:g:xnoAAOSwKsFlFBzg&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0OjUdjoOVExvKirHZh4HA9ilyn8Pwhu%2Bcqzq%2BdhfIcltYxyDeB6LtDuFoaaZDiRGE4tnhztYoou6qLF6UfMvvf1QKgXUSRYMmP8b78a%2F5dRQ8ZruskVtXyPFUZRRN%2F59kKvvajHEClGzCmEDhlOWZKrhWWbtJgJN7yRsX5wzCetvyPZAJ1GVArhHz7oA6CqGtEiPK%2FOmTSeToJp2aie4b3Wh0rBSf2XvSNkjCLey8NG%2BIRiGVTsYLjAsvy8frXZ7zBL2Vaepsz%2FYwbaL3RJ9DM8%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6DOtb_kYg
Ink-credible collection! I have been lusting for a Scribo pen from the moment you first showed yours. I plan on ordering the Visconti pen your showed, its still on sale and very affordable.
Thank you Jamie! Visconti and Scribo...two of my favorites! The Visconti Venus that I shared is about 40% off what I paid. It's a great deal on the Ashford site! Enjoy!
Man I'm so behind the 8-ball lately. Work's cuttin' into my TH-cam video watching time! 😜 I ended up getting the Leonardo MZG 2.0 PM1 in the matte finish with a stub as well! I love the way the pen feels. I get it though. It's so tricky when they're so much variation between them and it takes a minute to vibe with it when you get it & the colors are a bit outside your comfort zone; and yet, I love that you can match virtually any ink to these pens & the ink will bring out that color in the pen. Pretty cool. I was cracking up at the talking with your hands. I'm with you. I get teased about it when I'm on video calls at work. Wait. Was that this video? 🤔 Anyway! 😂 Lumpy's "so fresh" but he's adorable! 😄 Such a fun video! Your collection is fantastic and your happiness over your pens is infectious! 💜
Thanks so much! The matte finish on the MZG is such a nice feel, and the color options are fantastic!! Our hands help us "talk".... I can't help myself when I get excited about something, the hands are moving! Lumpy sends his love!
@@timewithtata8004 Haahaaa! Exactly! They help us talk & describe things. That's perfect!😄 My Visconti Homosapiens is finally on its way to me! It was the first pen Brendan from Atlas packed up yesterday! The next 2 pens I have my eyes on are a Pelikan 805 (they're sublime!) and a Scribo! Speaking of which, I need to get to work so I can make some pen money! 😂 Have a fantastic day and give Lumpy some smooches from me! 💜🐾🐾💜 PS - Forgot to mention. Remember when I said your dad's story really resonated with me for so many reasons? My dad was a Cancer too!😊
Kaweco Dia I believe they are called but you may like them as much as larger than the sport and a tad shorter than a TWSBI and a larger cartridge converter but the nibs all still can be exchanged.
Gorgeous pens! I really like Pilot, but my best writer is a Platinum 3776 UEF. My first gold nib was a tiny vintage Platinum EF from Anderson Pens. Also an excellent writer. Been waiting for a Sailor Profit in the mail, but looks like it got lost at LAX after arriving from Japan. Tracking has stopped for several days. Expecting a refund, at this point, but not sure what I'll replace it with - maybe another Platinum.
Sorry to hear about your Father. I have Lamy 2000 EF and love it. I do think you can't go wrong with by the Lamy nibs since you have a a few it will extend your flexibility with them. Nice collection, thank you for sharing.
I just found your channel and am loving your collection and listening to you is like talking with a friend already. I am afraid I will be influenced to purchase more expensive pens because I am loving seeing your collection. So far my most expensive pens I purchased new was my MonteVerde Nebula Stub Pen for about $82.00 from Goulet Pens. I love it. My other three I think I paid $110. each were from Conklin. My favorite pen is the limited addition Endura Abalone Shell Chrome with Omniflex Nib. The other two, Conklin Duragraph Special Addition Rainbow with Omniflex Nibs are so beautiful I had to buy two to see what the second would look like compared to the first. I love the swirls of the different colors!!! The only 14K nib pen I own was purchased for $50. at a garage sale. It is made by PenScapses, it isn't all that attractive, the decorative tip cap has fallen off, It is orange, black and has maybe pewter (its kind of dull looking) clip and hardware and it is really chunky but I wanted to get the nib to try 14K gold and everything I saw was $100.+ for just the nib.. The lady lives near me and I can stop in and see what she has for resale and see if I want to venture some more purchases. I am inclined to want to buy almost exclusively from Goulet Company because their videos have taught me so much about fountain pens. I educated myself so I don't fear taking them apart, although my arthritis is zapping my strength, I still take them apart. I have bought several of the Jinhao Pens that you showed and for the price I love the Jinhao's. I try to stay on the least expensive because I have spent an absolute fortune over the last 25 years on paper crafting items. I fell down a huge rabbit hole watching a friend make her own greeting and Christmas cards using embossing powder. If I were to start over I would have been a lot more conservative in my purchases. They take up so much more room than fountain pens and journals. LOL. My husband says he likes the fountain pens better! BTW I am a new subscriber.
Thank you! I have my Greta Garbo listed high b/c I 'm sad to part with it..lol I do have best offers turned on: Here's the eBay link: www.ebay.com/itm/305164105051?hash=item470d32b55b:g:xnoAAOSwKsFlFBzg&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0OjUdjoOVExvKirHZh4HA9ilyn8Pwhu%2Bcqzq%2BdhfIcltYxyDeB6LtDuFoaaZDiRGE4tnhztYoou6qLF6UfMvvf1QKgXUSRYMmP8b78a%2F5dRQ8ZruskVtXyPFUZRRN%2F59kKvvajHEClGzCmEDhlOWZKrhWWbtJgJN7yRsX5wzCetvyPZAJ1GVArhHz7oA6CqGtEiPK%2FOmTSeToJp2aie4b3Wh0rBSf2XvSNkjCLey8NG%2BIRiGVTsYLjAsvy8frXZ7zBL2Vaepsz%2FYwbaL3RJ9DM8%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6DOtb_kYg
I’m in Japan currently and finally made it to Itoya. I shocked myself buying a pilot 742 in a soft medium nib. WOW, what a great writer. I was all set to buy a Pelikan but I just didn’t love the way it wrote. Tomorrow is Ancora and I’ll check out their Sailor options. Love seeing your collection!
Enjoyed this video! So sorry about your Dad. Good idea to commemorate by buying a pen. I love the Benu pens. I have been looking at them online, esp. the Vodka on the Rocks but they are all gorgeous. What is your store called on E-Bay and any othet sites?
Lovely pen collection…that Scribo w/flex nib is calling my name! LOL. Besides Poshmark where else do you buy your 2nd hand fountain pens from? Just FYI your Amazon link is not hyperlinked. ❣️✨
Probably one of the best resources is Virtual Pen Show on Instagram. I think people in the Reddit community also buy/sell pens. There are also Facebook groups. Good luck!
Sometimes where you can get the pens makes a big difference. When I traveled to Japan I exclusively bought Japan made pens b/c the price was so much better than here in the states. Thanks for watching!
Welcome back to my channel! This is my updated fountain pen collection! I'll share with you what brands I'm loving, what's new in my collection, my favorite pens and what I'm planning to sell! I hope you enjoy it! Let me know in the comment what you're writing with this week! xoxo Lori
Love your videos and also the pace of your speech, it is very soothing :) beautiful collection by the way! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thank you so much for this sweet message. I'm so happy you're here 😘
fascinating.... what I can't figure out is how you remember the detailed story of each and every one... amazing. xoxo
If I only I could remember where some of my inventory is located Heid! lol!
My first time watching one of your videos! How fun was this one! Curious where you like to shop for second hand FPs if you don't mind sharing?
Thank you! I look everywhere...eBay, Mercari, The Real Real, Poshmark. I'm always on the hunt.
You must try a Franklin-Christoph fountain pen, Model 02; Model 19; Model 31. So many nib options screw out nib units. Beautiful pens highest quantity and great company!
Franklin-Christoph is on my list! I will definitely look into these models. Thanks for the suggestion!
Fabulous collection…. Love seeing all your pens and your enthusiasm is dangerously addictive 😀
Thanks so much Jean! I never expected to be so enthusiastic about fountain pens, but I love them! 😊
Yoseka got a matte forest green with gold accents in the vanishing point. Apparently it was a Taiwanese limited edition that Neil was able to get some stock through some connections
OH, that must be it... It was so pretty! I may have to beg Daisy to find one for me! Lol!
I agree with the Esterbrook and Ferris Wheel Press collaboration. I ended up selling mine because the colors were so bright. I was happy I found a good home for it.
I'm glad you found it a new home. It is a really nice pen for the right person.
Hi Lori great video please tell your mom Happy Birthday 🎈🎂
Thank you! I'll tell mom you said Happy Birthday! xo
For Twsbi, I recommend the "TWSBI Diamond 580 Fountain Pen - White RoseGold II." If you like full-sized or larger pens, don't go for the mini. For the full-sized version (it is not postable and much more enjoyable than the mini imo!).
Such a fun hobby! And….hugs to Lumpy. He is adorable!!!
😊 Thank you!! I'm really having a lot of fun! Lumpy sends his love!
Love your enthusiasm for FPs! Definitely get an Aurora! I have several of their pens (under $150), and I love them so much! Also, I am with you on wanting a Pelikan 800--it is my "Commemorate Retirement Pen" in 2025!
Ooh, I think it would make a great Retirement Pen!!! No doubt you deserve it!! Thanks so much for being here. xo
Thank you! It is such a beautiful pen! Just went to Yoseka's site and signed up for notifications (not sure if they'll ever get more in..)
If you want another TWSBI, try the Vac700R - amazing pen that holds a bunch of ink.
Ooh, that could be fun! I've heard great things!
I like the looks of the Metropolitan, it's not boring to me at all. I think it has a classic and vintage look to it which is sleek and stunning at the same time
I'm agree with you, I gave it to my niece as a gift.😁
It is a classic for sure. Traditional might have been a better choice of words. I'm planning to give mine to my son. I think he'll enjoy it!
Shop around for your Pelikan as the prices are all over the place. Seems to me that Endless Pens out of Florida has the best prices on Pelikans.
I have seen some good deals there. Thank you! I may wait for Fountain Pen Day or Black Friday before I buy!
My first, and only, gold nib is my Pilot Vanishing Point that I bought just last week at Fountain Pen Hospital. It’s a fine point and I love it!
You have a beautiful collection and a world of knowledge. Thanks for sharing. It seems Lumpy wanted to collab with Lamy ❤
beautiful pen collection, I recently bought my first two fountain pens. thanks for the video.
My first gold nib pen was a Pelikan M800 green stripe. And with it, I bought a bottle of Parker Penman Sapphire, so you can date it, if you like. A while back. Hi Lori, i mean to ask what drawer inserts you use for the muji acrylic drawers? thanks!
As always, I enjoyed your video. Great collection.
So glad you enjoyed it Marjorie. Thanks for being here.
I have 4 TWSBI's including the glow in the dark purple and I love them but none of my pens have an extra fine nib lol
Hi, you have a great collection. I enjoy your videos’s a lot. Take a look at the Nakaya’s and Namiki’s. They are wonderful
Thank you! I look forward to trying those pens at a future sho! xo
My first gold nib was the Pilot E95s. I use it daily in my Hobonichi Weeks.

Question for you Lori. Where are you buying second hand besides Mercari?
I've bought things on eBay, Poshmark and I check out The Real Real, Grailed...anywhere that sells second hand items.
Thank you very much for sharing your collection; it looks amazing. I love your Montblanc Greta Garbo, how much is it ?
So exciting!!!! I want to visit there so badly. Congrats on the 742. Pilot is just so good!
@@cherylsquirrelit’s so worth coming. It’s tough on your wallet that’s for sure but it’s a trip I won’t forget and hope to come back!
Enjoyed this video! So sorry about your Dad. Good idea to commemorate by buying a pen. I love the Benu pens. I have been looking at them online, esp. the Vodka on the Rocks but they are all gorgeous. What is your store called on E-Bay and any othet sites?
My first 14 c gold nib was the Lamy Studio in palladium 😊
I haven't tried the Studio. I hope you love it!
I love that lamy X itoya ive never seen that color before ❤
Thank you! It's a beautiful color combo!
I absolutely love your videos. Thank you! ❤
I'm so glad you like them! Thank you for being here Jane! xo
Lovely pen collection…that Scribo w/flex nib is calling my name! LOL. Besides Poshmark where else do you buy your 2nd hand fountain pens from?
Just FYI your Amazon link is not hyperlinked. ❣️✨
Thanks so much! I just fixed it! I've bought pens on eBay, and I look on The Real Real often.
Also....the Scribo is so gorgeous!
@@timewithtata8004 great! TYFS!
Thank you for your review about fp
My pleasure!
I think it is better to demo on the desktop instead on your face by extending hand, just a thought
Sorry to hear about your dad.
a fantastic collection, really interesting ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
How does one purchase a Zodiac Pisces pen?
You can reach out to Bart on Instagram! instagram.com/zodiacpencompany/
what a fantastic collection! a little bit of everything. 😊 thanks for sharing your pens and all the adventures that go along with each one. ❤
how does the Iced Caramel Latte fit in the BENU pen holder? or does it fit at all? lol
I've never tried it in the holder. I think that is made specifically for the Briolette
@@timewithtata8004 it was just a random thought I had lol
Where do you find your second hand pen?
I look everywhere! eBay, Grailed, Poshmark...any second hand site that might carry them.
Probably one of the best resources is Virtual Pen Show on Instagram. I think people in the Reddit community also buy/sell pens. There are also Facebook groups. Good luck!
In Europe the Esterbrooks are too expensive in my opinion, for what they offer.
Sometimes where you can get the pens makes a big difference. When I traveled to Japan I exclusively bought Japan made pens b/c the price was so much better than here in the states. Thanks for watching!
Sailor is on my wish list, i havent gone over 100.00 yet for a fountain pen, im getting there..lol
Lol! Take your time! What' is your favorite pen?
@@timewithtata8004Sailor Shikiori Sound of Rain Fountain Pen Spring Rain Medium-Fine is the one i am wanting...I love green!
I can't believe you only have one Pelikan!!! All Pelikans have great nibs albeit the Pelikan nibs are really wet.
I can't believe it either! I think I'll have a new one by year end, lol! Leaning toward the M800 in Black/Brown.
