Since there seems to be a bit of a cat theme here I thought I'd mention my most recent pen purchase...a Retro51 "Cat Rescue" fountain pen. It has whimsical cats on it, writes well and Retro51 makes a donation to animal rescue with each pen sold. 🐈🙂 I've mentioned this on a couple of other TH-camr channels but I like to encourage animal rescue when possible.
I love that! I picked up the dog rescue one myself, along with the Rickshaw pen sleeve. I love all animals, but I'm partial to dogs, despite this video being cat themed, haha! My little Rudy was rescued 7 years ago this week. YES to all of the animal rescuing!
I have the little pink Puchico too! Mine is full of Montblanc Pop Pink which I'm trying out. I've been writing with mine unposted and have written quite a bit. It's super fun, and I think I might get more of them. It looks like it might be compatible with Jowo 5 nibs. I'll have to dig through my stash and see if I have any spare Jowo 5 nibs I might try in it. The Jowo 5 is larger than the Bock 060 nibs that the Kaweco Sport uses. The TWSBI Eco uses the Jowo 5
@@gingerpeachy Lol you had to tempt me. I had a little ink on my fingers because I was messing with one of my brand new Pilot Parallel pens, so I just pulled the nib and feed out of one of my inked pens with a Jowo 5 and tried it. It does indeed fit, and it wrote really well! I might look around for some spare Jowo 5 nibs. They're pretty much identical in length and curvature. My hands are usually very rarely inky, so you found me at the right time
It's not as tough to write with as I expected - I wrote my whole journal entry with it last night! I think it might be more useful than I initially expected!
I have small hands and that little pen looks too small for my liking but it's absolutely adorable and with a very nice nib! 🥰 I like the shape and look of the Meteor pens and they also seemed to write very well. Have to look into those. 😇🩷🙏🙌
I actually wrote a full journal page with the tiny pen tonight, and it wasn’t bad! I wouldn’t want to write too many more pages, but honestly I forgot I was holding a tiny pen. Maybe because the nib is so good! Yes - for sure look at the Meteors! They are great pens. A few shops sell them in the US, too!
