Peppo took 6 minutes to beat Flaming Espinas with no set meanwhile I am carting, crying, and taking 10+ minutes to beat it with a full set. Peppo built different!

My Flaming Espinas hunts look a lot like this one, but only if you count that part near the end where the weapon was put away and he was running around trying not to get hit.
Amazing run 😮 after seeing your risen chammy quest, I’ve started my long sword journey in sunbreak. Haven’t used it since generations. I’m trying to get the sheath counter down, it’s the only thing I’m struggling with. Looking forward to the next run 😊
A word of advice to both of you, if you have Iceborne, I’d recommend starting there. The counter window is tighter, so when you move to Sunbreak you’ll be landing the counters very consistently, missing the counter is less punishing, and it’s less integral to the weapon, so you’ll be able to learn how to use the counter without as much on the line. The only downside is the insane nerf that foresight got in rise, so you might find yourself whiffing it in sunbreak a lot.

Yea love the good old mh logic. If it uses a shield it still needs high guard lvls but if it doesn't its just a true counter. I mean duh blocking a big ass monster with a shield that is designed for blocking is obviously worse than with a small blade.

Yeah, Harvest Moon is just not realistic in multiplayer. You should definitely consider using Sakura Slash + Sacred Sheath when playing with other people. Not only do you not have to rely on countering the monster so hard but you also have way more openings to do the full Sacred Sheath charge due to the monster having way more targets to focus on.
If you are the host of the quest and you play with others, the monster will always target you. Literally. If you are not the host, we’ll then you should consider using Sakura and Sacred Sheathe xD

The harvest moon silkbind (big white circle he is in) prevents spirit gauge from decreasing while you are inside. Does lots of other things too but that’s why the gauge isn’t going down.
5:10 not sure why he rolled there but maybe his mind is telling he needs a wire bug and now hes thinking 2 things which is deadly (wirebug or counter) so to be safe, just roll away and reset the mind.
Well been practicing killing F. Espinas lately, I think if espinas did that move near the wall and you countered it with special sheate, you dnt have time to counter the second attack because espinas will be close to you due to the wall. Been happening with my recent practice a lot
As usual, great display of skill, Master Peppo. People kept bitching about hacked talisman with strong build but like always, being skillful is what matters in a skill based game like this. Having strong solid build is just another part QoL for a hunt but if you got no skill to back it, you would still suck at the game. This video further strengthen my opinion.

How exactly do you go straight into a special sheathe right after a spirit slash counter? I mean it looks fantastic and expertly done etc but i just dont get how you did that since it you have to perform all these counters off the back of another move so you cant spam it.
Espinas pushed him into the border of harvest moon which sent him flying back into the middle of the ring (since that is what happens when you try to leave it).
It's a Mix of Dango Booster, Dango Adrenaline, Power Charm and Talon, and then Might Seed, Demon Powder, and Mega Demon Drug. That's why he's so low on Health the whole hunt, Adrenaline is a HUGE boost to Raw when you're on Critical HP.

Followers only deal part breaking damage unless they use poisen or wyvern riding. I don't know that much about Speedruns myself, but i can see them go more often in the way and mess up stuff like timings than helping the run.
As long as you successfully counter and gain a meter level you can do it over and over. If you miss or mess it up it ends the string. It's just that so few people can actually chain them back to back like Peppo does.
They kind of did. Mostly. There's confirmed but unofficial tech to Helm Breaker. If you tap R2 once to trigger SHB, your hits will be collected on a single point at the end of the slash when you land. This is great for hitting a downed monster on a specific point, or a monster who has a weak point that is low to the ground. This specifically is where a lot of "misses" comes from because you'll slash through a monster, but the point it's looking to register on the hits is a miss at the very end of the slash. If you hit R2 multiple times during the animation (should only have to be an additional time past the initial R2 to trigger SHB, but the timing point seems inconsistent/unknown), instead it'll register the attacks at 7 points on the down slash. This will cause the hits to "slide" down the slash, hitting sometimes 2 or 3 different parts. The hidden benefit to this second method is that if you slash through a valid hitbox but end in a "miss", it'll concentrate all of the hits on the last hitbox you pass through. This is great for hitting things like tails that are high off the ground and don't have a hitbox below them. Both have a purpose, but for general use, hitting R2 multiple times will give you more reliable hits, even if you may end up hitting a bad hitzone.

@@azure4622 Nope i sucked haha. What I mean is that, I tried copying Peppo style but with armor like countering with LS, using harvest moon and special sheathe, but i did not do great. So i quit LS and switch to switch axe.
@@jymanangu8497 o. I use LS a lot personally, though i use every weapon a lot I'm using LS the most right now, I've basically never touched harvest moon. It just doesn't meah well with what i play like. SA i can confidently say is one of the most fun weapons in risebreak

Just don’t use harvest moon in multiplayer. You have to make sacrifices in multiplayer. Like giving up a grinder slot for flinch free

Spirit Blade 1(RT/R2) to trigger the explosion and Tempered Spirit Blade (LT/L2 + Y/Triangle) to counter it.
