It's supposed to cause a free knockdown when the monster hits a flame but none of the flames connected. You can use a wire bug attack or evade to move the fire from your body to a stationary position on the field. If it explodes by making contact with the monster, the minster will topple.
@@BadEnd98 one topple can be 3k+ damage. In the short span of a speed run, that is very deco cost effective. Never any need to get a second or 3rd topple from hellfire. Hunt is done by then.
@@BadEnd98 Hellfire is for free knockdown as well as Resentment as well as Coalescence. He has Coalescence at level 3 which gives a bonus 18 attack and 4 elemental damage when you recover from a status ailment. So when Hellfire subsides Coalescence kicks in.

Yes, it's called axe hopper i believe and it's activated via lt + y or b (i believe it's b but I'm not sure). In the base game storyline you'll happen to get a couple of quests where you unlock a skill for each weapon type.. One of those quests is for charge blades' axe hopper 😁

It's layered. He used usual fish CB. SAED playstyle always want the highest elemental phial damage possible.

He was hitting it, Espinas just takes a few attacks to be woken up when it's asleep at the battle's start.
