I know you're building a business so the way you spend your bonus will be different based on that, but when you spoke about how much your bonus is taxed it made me wonder if Canada is similar to the U.S. I usually request that my bonus be put into one of my retirement accounts and/or my health savings account, which means no taxes are taken out. Is it similar in Canada, or are you required to pay taxes on a bonus regardless of what you decide to do with the funds?

Butchart Gardens is a must if you have time, ferris' oyster bar and grill is nice and red fish blue fish at the lower dock on wharf street is fantastic (and worth the line up wait). a nice walk along dallas road is nice too, there is a foot path that takes you from the harbour and around to dallas road.

Yes I can allocate a certain % to go to my retirement account and it would be tax deferred!
