Calm down there bud no more lethal than a punch just because it cuts you doesn't mean it's more lethal.. powerful yes especially the side and downward elbow and the spinning one if you are lucky or skilled enough to pull it off imo a spinning back or hammer first generates significantly more force with more range and less skill involved 👌

  • @TopChef190

Yes there is, the way I was taught, and Im no Kru, is to step your right foot (orthodox stance) to the outside of their right foot then throw spining back fist. It provides slightly more balance.

It is a naturally awkward movement. You're not super likely to ever see to see it used practically. But if it's in Muay Thai, or Muay Boran, it's there for a reason.

These elbows are used alot in mma even as setups as well look up Gaston bolanos he has multiple kos from this spinning elbow one in mma that is brutal he's a master at it and people get kod from elbows all the time you can generate alot of force with them if you make your way into range.

+renzokata yeah there is the best way is if you are throwing a right spinning elbow put your left foot to the side of theirs (orthodox stance) and make a full spin with elbow I prefer this because the one he should is very slow and by the time you hit them they will have hitter with their own elbow

@@nukmuaynuksoo3955 or to get slammed on your head I wouldn't recommend the spinning elbow in that kind of situation at all unless you know exactly how to place it and set it up when grapplings allowed it's like giving up your back as the end of the motion puts you in an awkward fairly unstable position

It's more a brutal counter than an actively offensive move but you can throw it off your hook just throw the hook away miss on purpose step your left foot past theirs bait the reaction turn as the come in spinning elbow hopefully to the jaw
