I’m honestly liking this a lot more than what they’ve been showing off for little nightmares 3 if I’m being honest, I would rather get this game first over that one if I had the choice.
I'm absolutely obessed with how much the camera moves, while Little Nightmares was pretty much a side scroller Reanimal feels so much more expansive by how many different directions the camera and characters go, the vertical shot from the stairwell is my favorite
while LN3 may not be the same studio, I still appreciate the fact that they put some care into the game based off the gameplay feat. Best not to judge too quickly though since patience is key.
Call me crazy but the hairy monster with several hands that looks like a spider reminds me a bit of the ‘’faceless‘’ that appears in the movie ‘’Spirited Away‘’ by Ghibli Studios. Remember, when he gets corrupted by being in the bathhouse? The creature he turns into? And he also looks a bit like the first wild boar god at the beginning of the Princess Mononoke movie. Maybe it's an inspiration.

Im not hyped for LN3, I was so dissapointed at the trailer BEFORE knowing it was Supermassive behind. But now looking what Tarsier still can do I'm even less hyped. This game is an instant buy

The trailers can be lacking, but they make it lacking and not show too much to avoid doing what Tarsier and Bandai did when advertising their games: spoiling the story. And seeing the Factory gameplay, it’s clear that Supermassive is following the Little Nightmares formula very well.

The giant baby monster just doesn't seem scary and the big theme of "normal things that are scary bc they're pushed through the perspective of a child" seems lost. Kids are scared of teachers and doctors and things under the bed and parent figures and what is in the meal they're being made to eat, not post apocalypse babies.

Looking promising. I really hope there’s an option to disable the little white dots on “interactive elements”! One of the best things about Little Nightmares was that it gave zero UI guidance and you just had to work out what you could do, so disabling these little helpful UI elements would be more immersive.
Yeah exactly. We know we could grab onto things with the right trigger, so if it feels like it's possible, we were able to just pull on the door and see, made it feel way more natural
Let’s not jump to conclusion yet. This pig seems harmless but we don’t know if other pigs are the same. I have a feeling that some might be a threat especially those who seem to have abnormal traits like this pig at 6:04 who seemly standing straight.
Supermassive also help with ln2 but either way I love this game series and now reanimal 😎👌 this kinda stuff is my jam. Now where the heck is little devil inside 😔
@SpookyCam01 I get that, originally it looked like an open world final fantasy type adventure. Even games like that are now being made more linear and that is sad, it's the wondering that makes it an adventure.
I can't wait for this, but it's undeniable how much it looks like a Little Nightmares games. I wonder almost if this was the Little Nightmares 3 they were going to make before they got sold....

The camera movement and perspective choices are absolutely phenomenal. Very well thought out and artistic design choices. This looks like it will be a very good game.
This really, really, really have that eerie mood the game "Inside" and "Limbo" carries. Bleached colors even in bright areas, faint music, little to no info about hostile environment except how you avoid it, etc.

@@Emptyspaced Exactly, that's what's been bothering me as well! The characters look more like Little Big Planet now, and the overall mood and atmosphere of the new LN has also changed for the worse. It's really noticeable that it's not the same creative minds behind this project anymore. Tarsier's artstyle and direction is so unique, their work just can't ever be replicated.
As I'm getting older and have less and less time to play games with family and work responsibilities these kind of short single player polished experiences are becoming more and more lucrative to me.
I wish people would just appreciate both Re Animal and Little Nightmares 3. They're both going to be incredible games most likely, judging off the success of the 2 previous games. Of course this game will seem like LM. It's from the same people lol. We shouldn't be bashing on or the other though, just be happy we're getting more of what we like.

I love how with every game they improve. Little Nightmares 2 was already a great looking game but they spent time and resources to make a 4k version with reflections and stuff. And now they are using that 4k style as the base game.

I think it may just be the monster we start out with like how the janitor was the first boss in LN 1 and the hunter was the first boss for LN2 yes I know this is not LN 3 it's just the only thing I can compare it to also in pretty sure the lamb is going to be our main monster
I'm assuming it'll be one of the first monsters we encounter in the game. It's a unique and interesting design for a monster, so it makes sense why they'd use it to grab people's attention. Maybe I'm looking too much into it. The game is still in pre-alpha state, so maybe this section of the game was the most finished to be playable at Gamescon this year.
These types of games, especially with Tarzier don't really do "Main" antagonists, they usually lean towards the world itself being the antagonist and you're trying to survive, the spider is most likely just one of the monsters whose dwelling the player stumbles into

I thought the same thing at first, but after rewatching it I don’t think those are fellow children, or at least not anymore. In the first shot where the monster roars at the kids, you can see those “kids” climbing up the walls/bridge and hanging onto the monster’s back. They seem like something it uses to help chase you down?
This is better than anything that i can recall from recent years. Brings same feelings as when i played games like Silent Hill or Ico for the first time ages ago.

This was always the original style of game they wanted but had to leave band for that reason due to the direction they wanted to go in so i think this game is going to be alot darker than there previous titles if you've seen from the beginning they showed certain drawings to band that were animals ect but they weren't feeling that art style so u ended up with Lnm 1 and 2 but hopefully this will blow people's mind s even more because it was there original art direction

There were some paintings for LN1 featuring realistic animals scrapped for "no fitting the visual style" and images with slight gore (IIRC including a harpooned walrus or some other fat animal) scrapped for a "possible ratings issue".
Gosh, while still watching this. It excites me whenever a game like little nightmares came because I don't see much of it often in the videogame space. So, so much creation and exploration can be made that Little Nightmare created! I'm excited to see more creative takes on the world building like Little Nightmare's since a game like that hasn't been explored to it's truest potential

I think the thing that games like this entice me so much is because it actuvates the fear of the unknown as well as the fact we ARE NOT in any way dominant or on compariable levels on the foodchain.
Maybe the lantern should be seen by enemies This is in development so that probably hasnt been added but it is kinda weird when they're looking directly at the light source and not reacting
It really is amazing how far the "Little nightmares" gameplay style can evolve (with the game mentioned being more 2D than 3D). There are issue I've noticed, such as the hands passing through objects, the monster model somewhat glitching and the sound being too silent. Well it was the pre-alpha version we watched, but it's worth mentioning these issue so they can be fixed for the final product. Can't wait to see the the full game, because I'll be buying Little nightmares 3 (I won't be able to handle the creepiness of Renanimal).
A question: If you have no friends and your closest companion is your own reflection, can this game be played as single-player? Or must one resort to the terrifying realm of human interaction?

Gosh, while still watching this. It excites me whenever a game like little nightmares came because I don't see much of it often in the videogame space. So, so much creation and exploration can be made that Little Nightmare created! I'm excited to see more creative takes on the world building like Little Nightmare's since a game like that hasn't been explored to it's truest potential

@@Abysswalker2809 it's just my opinion bro no need to fight. And just to be clear i think Reanimal will be better because it's made by Tarsier and i think Tarsier would made things with love and dedication diferent of Bandai( i don't like Bandai nanco)
This looks and sounds better than the little nightmares games and we are even getting voices for our characters which is a major plus.
I think the thing that games like this entice me so much is because it actuvates the fear of the unknown as well as the fact we ARE NOT in any way dominant or on compariable levels on the foodchain.
Im assuming there's going to be more music in the final version? The game looks incredible so far.
add Release a demo at the festival in October!

This is in development so that probably hasnt been added but it is kinda weird when they're looking directly at the light source and not reacting
It’s the same in both little nightmares games hopefully they improve the AI of the enemy’s to see that

It really is amazing how far the "Little nightmares" gameplay style can evolve (with the game mentioned being more 2D than 3D). There are issue I've noticed, such as the hands passing through objects, the monster model somewhat glitching and the sound being too silent. Well it was the pre-alpha version we watched, but it's worth mentioning these issue so they can be fixed for the final product. Can't wait to see the the full game, because I'll be buying Little nightmares 3 (I won't be able to handle the creepiness of Renanimal).

A question: If you have no friends and your closest companion is your own reflection, can this game be played as single-player? Or must one resort to the terrifying realm of human interaction?
I've never seen a horror game that's scary in multiplayer mode with friends, this one's going to be really cool.
